More Than Games — Attraction in Ocala

This place is great, Both my fiancee and I love coming here to buy games and TCG cards or just to walk around, but usually, if we come, we always buy something. Prices are fair, items are of good quality, and the owner is a super cool dude.

The only negative i have is the (i believe) two new guys that are now in the store. They have no customer service etiquette and talk down to you like you're stupid. A quick example is we were trying to sell my Xbox One X and couldn't for various issues, but we had spoken to the owner and told him we had another system to sell and he told us to come back and he'd take it. Fast forward to later on that night, we arrived back at the store with the other system, and the owner told us he'd be right with us after he cleared the little shelf where they test the consoles other people bring in. As we're waiting patiently and my partners are looking around the store, one of the new (again, i had never seen these two dudes in all the times i had ever come to this location) guys, comes by looks at what i have and says We already have too many of these and to basically get lost as it was 20 min till they closed and he didnt wanna go through the hassle. When i attempted to explain that i had spoken to the owner personally earlier that day about the machine, he shut me up, simply told me he didnt want it, to sell it elsewhere but he'd do me a "Favor" by buying the controller only.

That entire interaction was enough for me to leave a sour taste in my mouth every time i walk in, and i see this dude working. I feel now like I'm going to be judged and persecuted if i ever try to sell another item in the store or even if i attempt to buy something, as i did a week after that incident and both my partners and i got this look of pure distain.

Its a great example of how the wrong people working there with a bad attitude and no respect for the items you're selling or the kinds of people who come into and frequent your store can almost kill regular customers. We still visit and are welcomed warmly by the owner and the other gentleman with a kind of a balding head (using descriptors, mean no disrespect), but every time we walk in now and see one of the two new guys we get this overbearing sense of hostility and animosity and all we wanna do is spend our money.

Way overpriced on alot of their stuff. Gamestop is usually cheaper as well as ebay. And they want to say they undercut gamestop as far as pricing goes not so. Do your research before buying here. And they don't want to price match either. This store will not last if they don't change their practices.Went in there yesterday and a copy of brave fencer musashi on ps1 was I believe $130. Gamestop sells it $55. Metroid prime 2 echoes they were wanting $50. Gamestop wants $35. Again do your research before buying from this store.To the owner. you try justifying your prices by condition. Maybe you should walk in gamestop periodically and look at their games yourself. I bought the metroid prime 2 echoes game in the store across from you it was complete and like brand new condition. And only paid $35. As for the brave fencer musashi i ordered it online and guess i got lucky. It was also complete in excellent condition. Their website of course is never up to date so I also happened to find in the store star fox assault on gamecube complete for $30 vs. your $60. Also a couple weeks ago saw you had mario kart 8 complete for $15 gamestop had it complete for $13. Like I said maybe periodically just go in the gamestop stores for yourself to see what they have and the condition don't just go by...

I have been here multiple times and am happy to report this is an excellent family owned business. They specialize in selling video games (both retro and modern), pokemon themed cards and products, action figures and toys. I have worked with Joe, Molly, Dave, Brad and Jason. All have been very friendly and helpful in trying to locate games I have come in looking for. They have reasonable prices on their games for sale and do offer both trade credit and cash for potential games you want to trade in. They are very fair with the trade values given.

I recently purchased some NES cartridges with manuals and a GBA modded with backlit screen and other features. I love their sticker selection too. Right now they have Goosebumps and other Halloween themed stickers in addition to their already solid sticker selection. I have been to many games stores in Florida, but I can honestly say this one keeps me coming back frequently. I have never had another shop owner tell me they would be on the lookout for Goosebumps memorabilia when visiting on their upcoming trip to Ohio (R.L. Stine’s home state).
