I have been to this location probably four times in the last month and a half. The one consistent positive thing about this restaurant is the food. It always taste great.
The biggest problem with this particular location is they always seem understaffed. The first time I was there it was great, but there was probably only about five other tables occupied as it was two hours before closing. The next time I came was around 2 pm, and there was a line just to be seated. After 15 minutes, I left when only one group out of five more ahead of me got seated in that timeframe. The third time I was there literally one waitress had half of the open tables in the restaurant, which she had probably 12 tables, which meant poor service because she was so busy just running food orders back-and-forth, not a lot of opportunity for refills or the complementary bread for some entrées, etc. i’m not blaming her I’m just saying that was the situation. And on my last visit about a week ago, I got seated within five minutes which was great but my waiter, an older male, literally walked by my table at least a dozen times and never even offered any service. And mind you my table was in the middle of his section so there should be no confusion as to thinking it was someone else’s table. So after waiting 10 minutes, he passed by again and I said “sir, can I please get a Diet Coke” and he said he would be right back. He never came back. He passed by three more times within about two minutes, talking with larger tables, so I got up and left. As I left, I told the hostess that I was leaving and the reason why I left is because I was getting no service at all, and two more employees came up and tried to make it right by saying they’ll take my order and that kind of thing, but I said I was just gonna go eat somewhere else, which I did.
So my point is when they don’t have staffing issues, it seems to be hit or miss in terms of getting some kind of reasonable service. Perhaps the best option for this particular location is just get it to go as again the food has always...
Read moreDo not order your Thanksgiving meal from this place. I placed my order two weeks in advance with a very nice lady inside who never took a payment which I found odd, and scheduled for a 3pm pick up for the day before Thanksgiving. When I arrived, cars were lined out to Silver Springs Blvd and I could see a refrigerated truck on the side of the building with ONE person opening boxes, bagging the food, then handing it over to the customer. After about 20 mins in line and only moved two spaces I had my daughter go inside to see if our food was ready since I had a scheduled time and it was close to 4pm. At that point we found out that we needed to come inside first to pay then go back out to make the car line. Inside was complete chaos. I feel horrible for the employees, who ever was in charge should be fired. Scheduled times didn't matter because nothing was ready, they were running around trying to bag orders as people walked up to the register. Once bagged, employees were not sure were to put the bagged food, so they piled up until people made the line again to ask for their order. Some just walked in and started touching peoples bags of food in search of their name. Nobody was directing people telling those outside they had to make a line inside to pay. The scary part was that when one employee complained to another staff member, she returned her complaint with "oh honey, it's like this every year". Why are customers not paying for their food at time of booking? Why was nothing bagged? Why were their no signs or printed instructions on what to do on the day of pickup? Why was I not told I was picking up food that was frozen? I paid to buy frozen corn with nothing, nothing on it. Being that this is a chain restaurant, it's safe to assume that none of them have a standard procedure set in place for these kinds of...
Read moreDon't try to get a job here if you have any self respect. Your training will consist of getting snapped at for things you were never taught to do by the General Manager. In fact, it seems the General Managers job mostly is to walk around and belittle her employees and talk down to them and badmouth them behind their backs and not take any responsibility. She will also do things like tell eveyone that you won't work out your 2 weeks notice, but have someone already in your place when you come in. She will also promise you hours and then hire new people instead. If you ask for a day off in advance because you work 6 days, (but only 4 hours a day so you have to have multiple jobs), she will try to make you feel as guilty as possible while cutting your hours midweek. The new assistant manager will do things like decide to eat dinner at 7:30 pm on a Friday night rather than helping. He will also pawn stuff off that he's supposed to be doing. He will also try to make you stay late to do stuff he could have been doing rather than eating that cheeseburger when you've had 2 16 hour work days in a row. The General Manager and the assistant manager also like to make giant messes for other people to clean, meanwhile the General manager will blame you for the mess because that's how badly she can't take responsibility for anything. Also, there doesn't seem to be any kind of back up from a corporate office anywhere. It would have been a great place to work, but the General Manager keeps running good employees off. I guess she was right about one thing, I won't be working out my notice. But that's because there's no point in making the 20 minute drive one way just to find out she already filled my spot twice. Tierra Sayre could have gave me a head's up, but that's just the kind of general...
