We moved from Puerto Rico to Florida in summer 2021. Close to christmas time we were looking for a place where they give art classes, workshops or seminars for kids. We were looking on the fun 4 ocala website for options and saw Picasso's Palette. They were offering a christmas ornaments workshop and we bought one for each of our kids. I come across daily close to them (due to my work), talk to a nice lady on the store about the workshop and let my wife know that everything is set for them to participate on the workshop. My wife took our kids to the event. She told me they seated them apart from the rest of the kids and the person that gave the workshop almost never went to them or gave them any instruction whatsoever. They felt cast aside during the workshop time. Apparently my kids did a poor job with the ornaments and had to return a week later to redo them. My wife said to me that she didn't wanted them to go redo them, because of the past experience, but then decided to go because the kids were asking about their ornaments. So she explained to them that they had to them again on saturday. A week later they called to finish painting them, but I decided to pick what they have done and finish it at home. That first impression they had change everything, because my kids love art and the place is nice. But if they are going to felt left out, maybe it's not the place for them.
That's our experience there. For me, that I pass everyday by the shop, is a sad thing because the place looks and feels nice. But that's what...
Read moreCeramics??? Pottery??? Canvas Painting?? And so much more. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, and a good place to come and meet new friends. I came in to the studio just shortly after my husband passing and I needed something. I stumbled on my something by coming inside Picasso's. I painted ceramics, did the pottery wheel, painted canvas, did resin pours, and even did glass fusion. But my experience was far more than art. I met a tribe of women who have become my people. I found the peace I was searching for after my husband's death in sitting in a canvas class meeting new people and discovering so much about me. I would definitely give this place a try. All it takes is one visit and you too will find what your looking for. Thank you Darlene, Carissa, Anna, Sydney, and all the other girls who work hard to make this an incredible...
Read moreA few years ago when the new owner took over I brought my young child into paint, I made sure my child didn't break anything by speaking to her throughout our visit about not touching things. When I returned to pick up the pieces the owner said she remembered us because I had to say her name so many times about not touching. I was taken a back and embarrassed, not wanting to go back, I waited years to return. When I did, I painted my pieces, and waited for the pick up call. I received a call notifying me that my pieces would be purged, despite me telling them we had to evacuate due to the storms, my pieces were donated and the employee wasn't allowed to tell me where they were sent. There are other businesses that offer this in the area and after visiting them, I won't...
