pOpshelf — Attraction in Ocala

I’ve been a regular customer at PopShelf Ocala for a while now. I own a daycare, and I often shop here for toys and supplies for my business and my own children. I’ve always had great experiences with the staff—until today.

Unfortunately, my visit today was very upsetting due to the behavior of an assistant manager named Kelly. While I was shopping with my two children, she made repeated negative comments and sighs under her breath as my kids looked at toys. I was cleaning up behind them, as I always do, but she continued to follow us around, making us feel very unwelcome. At one point, she even raised her voice at me across the store in front of other customers and staff. Her tone was rude, accusatory, and completely unprofessional—especially from someone in a leadership position.

I’ve never had a negative experience at this store before, and I’ve always appreciated the helpfulness and kindness of the rest of the staff. Kelly’s behavior was disappointing and does not reflect the positive environment I’ve come to expect at PopShelf.

I’ve emailed store management to share my concerns directly, and I’m hoping for a response. If this issue is addressed and handled appropriately, I would be more than happy to update my review to reflect a better experience...

I went and brought two bundles of balloons for my child’s party the night before. The next morning the balloons are on the floor. I do this for every party that I’ve done for my kids. Just this time was my first time going to pop shelf. The manger at the Ocala store was very rude when I call. I call explaining what happen to the balloons. He told me “what do you want me to do about. I can’t give you a refund or exchange or refill them” I only wanted them refill. No refund. He hung up on me twice told me he don’t have time. That I should plan my event better because he don’t have time for this! I call back to tell him that he was rude and I was very nice to him. . Didn’t cuss at you or anything for you to be rude. He told me I was harassing him and hung up because I was asking what his name was. This is it for pop shelf. You only have to do me wrong one time and you want get my hard earned...

We've been in this store multiple times. I just want to say that the team at this store is extraordinary. Every time I come in no matter how busy they are (and they're always busy), I get a warm welcome in. Nothing cheesy, just a "how ya doin today!" The team at this store is always laughing and seem to have a good time working together.They ask me every time if I've found what I was looking for. If I haven't, they'll take me to it. The manager Paul makes it an inviting atmosphere. The team seems to follow his lead with guest service. You don't see interpersonal engagement in other places like Popshelf. The store has Lots of seasonal items for decorating. It has something for everyone! Come to this hidden gem in Ocala! They go above and beyond to take...
