Peeps here use to be awesome not sure what happen to them I just see new faces.
Summary before today’s experience:
Basically I just go here with my kids when kid movies are released, saying that you can buy movie pass - basically when you pre pay 10 movies and get the 11th free. I have one for adults and one for kids
Tonight when went to go watch a movie I noticed a sign (I could be somewhat off) if you buy three items at the concession stand you’ll save $2 and if you buy four you’ll save $4. My oldest ordered a large popcorn, KitKat, and a small soda. My youngest ordered a hotdog, Oreos, and a bottled water. I just got a bottled water. I was told I would receive $6 discount, I said that was awesome since it was something new from the last time I was in there. (Again, we usually only watch new released kid movies and sometimes it takes months before anything interesting that my kids want to watch is released)
With everything rung up my total was $30, got my kids all setup at sat down. I had to go back for the hotdog since there was a 15 minute wait time. As I was waiting I noticed on the receipt I got the discount for the movies I had prepaid for months ago but not the $6 that was mentioned.
When I brought it up as I was waiting for my kids hotdog I was basically told since my tickets were discounted (I prepaid for them so they weren’t really discounted) it probably didn’t apply the $6. I was offered a small popcorn - told them we had a large, then offered a soda - told them we were good on drinks. Was then told that’s all they could do.
I know it’s $6 and I usually don’t mind helping the local businesses around here. But I hate when there is a lack of trying (btw soda nor popcorn cost didn’t come close to $6), was told something but not received, and basically felt since its 4th of July weekend we aren’t here to help since everyone’s a...
Read moreFirst run movies!!! !!! !!! MOVIE PASS works here!!! Visit more often. That's what make a place able to thrive so you don't have to drive an hour and pay an extra couple of dollars to see a movie in another town. I completely enjoyed this place whilst hanging out for a week. Cheaper than the casino for a couple of hours. Bring the whole family, have fun.
Spend local.
You can't go wrong with an hour or two at the theater.
New seats and top amenities would be a $12 or more movie ticket They are providing awesome and affordable entertainment.
For those of you who find the seats lacking, may I suggest a community fund raiser to upgrade the accommodations
Numerous other small communities have supported their local theaters as the cost for new digital projectors exceeded $80,000 per screen. No more movies on tape, digital only. This is/was a due or die situation.
The communities that participated in the activities now enjoy an upgraded theater and strong business support as people drive to town because no one supported the theater where they live. The fund raiser can involve students as an educational item or project allowing the theater to offer opportunities to see films during the less busy showings at a reduced rate. So many great opportunities!!! Otherwise bring a pillow and a blanket. (Im a larger person)...
Read moreLast night I watched the 4:45 "Sounds Of Freedom" There were only two empty rows the front and the 2nd row. I sat down in the 2nd row and heard cussing immediately..I looked back and it was an elderly couple. It looked like he was trying to record the movie and I got in his way. To make matters worse I went to use the restroom he followed and started talking about me to the employer..I came back to sit down and had put my foot up on the empty chair and the girl who he spoke to walked past everyone straight to me to tell me to take my foot off the chair. I've never in my life had that happen, but, the fact that she walked by a group of people including the old man who told on me all had their feet up?! It wasn't the fact she asked me to move my foot off the chair it's that she walked by everyone and came at me I felt all of that was uncalled for! I will drive the extra 15 mins and go to Olympia ...
