Elks Lodge Oceanside Let me start by saying that of all of the RV camps & military famcamps that we have visited. (and we have stayed at quite a few). It would be very difficult to find an RV park in a more beautiful setting. The location of Oceanside Elks Lodge & camp is unparalleled to most. A mile and some change from the beach perched on a hill over looking a golf course. Walking distance to the post office, grocery store and donut shop! What else would you need! The gravel sites are nice & level. Having a 35' fifth wheel there is ample space between you and your neighbor to have your awning completely out. Plenty of room to enjoy visits from friends and family for cookouts. Very clean shower, restroom and laundry room. Trash dumpster is close by, could use a enclosed area for four legged members. We found it was easy to make reservations in advance. No-nonsense check in and setup. Camp host are present and fair for the whole of the camp. They have a wealth of knowledge of the RV life to help if need be. To sum it up great atmosphere and reasonable price. Come see what you are missing! Thank you for this...
Read moreWent to the lodge for a wedding of a friend of my girlfriends. Google maps had no problem finding the address and it was hidden rather well. The Lodge had plenty of parking and was well lit and had a security service as well. The building was well kept and very nice landscaping and easy access to the entrance. Inside was beautiful and rather large, with a banquet hall and food serving area. The chapel was large enough to hold at least 200 guests. The lighting was great for pictures, and the AC worked great with as many guest in the room, I stayed cool with my suit and tie on. They had a bar right in the banquet area and a dance floor. I was very pleased with the service the Elks Lodge provided. It was a pleasurable time and I would recommend the Lodge as a great location to hold a celebration...
Read moreThis review is about the RV park and not the Lodge as I never made it to the lodge. The reason for giving one star is the RV park host, Michael Wallace. Never have I met such an unfriendly, rude and disrespectful person at an RV park, let alone the host. From the moment I arrived to the park he berated me for being early, for parking on my aside spot (per his email) before checking in with me, to being nit picky about so many other things…too many to note. I was so disgusted with him I only stayed one night out of four out of necessity. He took the joy of being in San Diego to visit family away with his rudeness. I cannot believe he is a park host, and he can’t possibly be an Elk member. If he is he shouldn’t be because Elks are the most respectful and kind people I’ve met. Shame on you...
