I am not one to write reviews (good or bad) but the “service” I received when I went to True Care was unacceptable. I developed a cyst and the pain from it was near unbearable and I was trying like hell to get an appointment at VCC, as I don’t have insurance, but nothing for what I needed was open for the next two weeks. I called a few more places and one recommended True Care. After calling and being on hold for a good 15 minutes, the woman on the phone was able to get me an appointment the next day (12/17). Later that evening, the cyst had popped but I still wanted to make my appointment to make sure nothing would get infected. Heading in to the clinic, I was asked if I worked full time and what my monthly income is, I gave the correct information and was told that my bill would be $196. A bit taken aback, as the woman on the phone said it should be about $25-$50, I paid and waited to be seen. I was called back fairly quick and the nurse who helped me was incredibly kind. After generic questions and some about my cyst, she said the doctor would be in shortly. I am not sure of his name but I believe he is the only male doctor at the facility, saw me for all of three minutes, asking me the same questions as the nurse and told me to merely “take a warm bath with salt” and gave me an antibiotic. He had no bedside manor and was very curt. I was so upset I blurted out “I paid $200 for this?” Then he got quiet and exited the room. I was furious. The nurse was trying to calm me down and let me know that there wasn’t much they could do since the cyst had popped. (Why couldn’t the doctor tell me that??) I was also upset about how much I had paid. They calculated my monthly income to get my yearly income, yes I know how that works, however, I have only been full time employed for ONE MONTH. I lost my job in March and was just now able to get employment. Please explain to me how that makes any sense. After I get my prescription, leave and head to work, I notice a missed call and voicemail from the receptionist at True Care, asking me to call her back to verify my income as I had crossed it out on the paperwork. I call back, still waiting on hold for another 15 minutes, just to get to the appointment scheduler, I ask for the receptionist and she puts me on hold. After a minute or so she says the receptionist is busy with another patient and that she will call me back. I have not heard anything since and that was 12/17. Please read the reviews. Do not go to...
Read moreThis place is drowning in it's own unorganized and unprofessional practices. I have neuropathy, I require medication, lyrica, to even partially function day to day. Every time I have to get refills I can't, because 'my doctor" is out on vacation or not working. I have been told 24-48 hours on refill requests just to wait and then be told 24-72 hours for refills, and be told after 96 hours after request that it will be at least 72 more hours.
I am out of town visiting family first call took 30 minutes to get to some one, second call took 20and third call I waited 50 minutes to finally talk with some one. If all my medical appointments and needs were not being fulfilled through these people I would and should at this point drop these people for my provider.
Not to mention, any doctor apointment is at least a 30 day wait to get in to see some one. Just sick of these people and people should know the truth from some one that has been dealing with this for 4 plus years now.
Also, any one dealing with chronic pains with documentations showing the legitamacy of the pain will not be prescribed to properly because they are afraid of the CDC, it is legal to treat some one with an incurable disease with any medication necessary,

Adding information for anyone to follow, This is just getting stupid now, almost 3 weeks and still no refill. They keep telling me I have it filled in NV, but nv said they needed more info from my dr, wouldn't release the medication. Now I am no longer in NV, they keep telling me its in NV, its a controlled substance, CVS wont transfer it. They have been trying to contact "my" doctor for weeks now, every time I call they tell me it will take 24-48 hours, with out even checking to see if the doctor is going to be on duty.
Imagine being in pain all day every day, asking for help and not getting it for over 3 weeks.
I did reach out to the commenter and the email address provided, 6 days ago, I haven't even heard from them, false promise after false promise.

Finally 1-15-21 picked up my medication, on a friday. Monday of that week I decided that I would call every day until they did something. Well that finally did something, I think. So every time I called it was they updated notes on the account and forwarded the request nonsense. 30 plus minutes a day on the phone for these people, several total hours of time just for them to get some thing so...
Read moreTrueCare is the worst. Some years ago, I was about to change health systems because the doctor I had didn’t really cared and only treated the symptoms. I suffered from depression and all he wanted to do is fill me up with pills which didn’t work. One of my friends heard about my depression and told me to check my hormone levels that my Testosterone might be down. I ask my doctor at that time to check them. He scuffed and ordered the test. My friend who isn’t a doctor was right. After that it gave me a bad taste and wanted to change my healthcare system but the administrator ask me to call them to convince me to stay. She assigned me the same doctor I had before at VCC and she was the reason why I had left VCC. But I decided to give her a chance. It turns out she was still a pill giving symptom treater. Not only that, For 4 visits, some dude would come in after my visit after the doctor to offer me an insulin pump and the same dumb information package about diabetes. He asked if I was interested in the omnipad I said I was and he said great I’ll be back. He would never come back. After the 3rd offer I asked him that he has offered and I willing and I never heard back. He seemed confused. He said I’ll be back. Never came back again. 4th he offered and I got annoyed I told him I don’t want it and he said why. I told him about the other 3 times he offered. He tried to blame on someone else and he promised me he was gonna get me the pump. He brought some other lady and they had me set up. I even met with a rep from Omnipad. When I went the pharmacy, CVS told me TC hadn’t provide the authorization. So I call the lady that set me up she told me she was going to fix it. She later message me that my insulin was ready. I went to CVS, they said it was still not authorized by TC. So I called them again only to repeat the cycle. When I went to cvs again. They wanted me to pay $80 for the insulin. Even though I wasn’t covered by my Insurance. At this time, I had enough of the incompetent staff. I asked my primary doctor to give me my old insulin back which they ignored for two weeks. Meanwhile, my diabetes was even more out of control because I didn’t have my old insulin. After about 1 1/2 month with this ordeal, they gave me a prescription to the off-brand version of the medicine I was taking. Don’t go with TrueCare. I’m planning to file a lawsuit against ...
