United Supermarkets — Attraction in Odessa

Very good store to shop. But this review is going to dive a bit deeper. The store is ran well. Sara has been there for years. The issue I’m bringing to everyone’s attention is in regard’s to working the OVERNIGHT with stocking crew. Seriously I feel so bad for them. I worked there for 6months. It’s a revolving door, and the few dedicated workers they have left are running on low fuel. Carmen the overnight stocking supervisor is amazing. Just Sara needs to put more time and attention in making sure her employees personal time is respected. A team of only 5 most often 3-4 are responsible for stocking the entire store, as well as front facing. Often times, we are FORCED to stay past our scheduled time to make sure the truck is finished, and that facing is up to standards. It’s hard work. But at the same time, why not hire more help? Or possibly… Sara comes in at 5:30 every morning. Help them face? Or have a stocking team come at 6 to start the front facing so the over night stockers can leave by 7. God forbid you wish to leave on time- you will be made out to be not a team player etc… I’m not sure if the few overnight crew I worked with is still there… They seriously need a raise, and a decent crew of 6-8 on board during truck days. But who am I, just a lowly worker. But giving you a insight, on what to expect. The store is ran flawlessly, off the blood sweat and tears of the workers....

Normally 5 stars but today, nope! Reason- I checked out with friendly conversation from checker and bagger. Its hot outside so I told the young girl I could take my groceries out myself. Im parked in the handicapped right outside near the west doors. As im unloading into my car another bagger came and said hed take my cart for me. As I placed my last bag in the car he asked me if I wanted to pay it forward. Did I hear right! Was he asking for a tip? First off he didnt bag my groceries, nor push my cart to my car, he did hand me 1 bag from my cart. Pleasant conversation as I unloaded my cart. And no I didnt tip him. He took my cart and parked it against the pole in front of my car. Is this new, tipping...

Was just in the store cashier was on register but not standing in her register she was busy talking to someone knowing I was standing and waiting to check out she finished her conversation but to late I had already picked up the stuff I put on the belt and started to walk off told my grandchild she rather talk than check me out(my grandchild was concerned I was putting stuff back she was getting a cake) and the cashier said very loudly when I said she rather talk than check me out she said "Yeah that's right" I was so mad it was a white dark blonde lady .... piss poor service i will not be back and I know people say this but I can say for sure I will never...
