I have been going to different massage clinics around the metro looking for places to refer my massage clients to. I was very disappointed with my massage. I have already referred some clients to this place because of the high ratings online and I regret it and won't be doing it again. It was clean and decorated nicely, therapist was friendly, but the quality of my massage was not very good. The therapist told me she didn't do very much hands on training with her massage school during the pandemic therefore it really showed.
I should be able to refer a client to them and the client call or book online and get a great quality massage without having to doubt whether the therapist will be skilled. Many of my clients are used to detailed techniques and this place showed that it isn't important for the therapist to be trained well. Possibly more about making money versus quality. I won't be coming back and won't refer my clients simply because of this first impression.
I requested firmer pressure and she was unable to be consistent in it. I communicated that my psoas and scalenes needed work and she was unable to effectively target these muscles with appropriate techniques. I'm not even sure if she knew proper anatomy. Most clients need attention in these areas. She needs more training and I don't agree that therapists are working here that aren't trained better. Clients deserve the best. At one point, she was sitting on a stool which does not assist in proper body mechanics in order to give firmer pressure. Especially the angle that she was at. Wasn't even expecting a deep tissue either. Wanted to treat myself since I am a bodyworker myself but I ended up feeling worse after the massage. No real relief. I would also recommend the therapists ground and smudge themselves before connecting their energy with clients. There is such a thing as energetic exchange & draining -whether we are aware of the...
Read moreI have been looking for a steady therapist for a few years and have been really disappointed everywhere I've been until I came here. My therapist was Alicia and I cannot say enough how great the massage was. She is a little chatty, but it's clear that she is trying to build a genuine connection with her clients, not just an in-and-out service and I can truly appreciate that. Plus, I have a really hard time relaxing on the table, so the conversation is an excellent distraction so I can fully let go and relax during the service. She's so friendly and super laid back, so I have no doubt if you ask her for some quiet time she would have no problem doing so. Honestly, she could talk forever and I wouldn't even care. When the massage is good, none of that even matters because it's so hard to find lasting relief. I am pain-free for several weeks after one 60 minute treatment with her. I will return as often as my finances allow and I will recommend Alicia to anyone looking for a great massage. Furthermore, the location is great and close to home. The clinic is clean and quiet, I never hear anything outside the room during my service, and the complimentary water afterwards is very much appreciated. I also appreciate being asked if I prefer cold or room temperature water, because I don't like cold water. It's a small thing, but it's those little details that make a big...
Read moreOh my GOSH. I LOVE this place. I have been about 7 to 8 times and everyone who works there is AMAZING. I have a chronic illness and each and every massage therapist I see treats my body with such respect and always communicate clearly about what they’re doing. If you’re confused don’t doubt for a second to ask a question. They know the science behind your body and can explain in detail how and why they’re doing what they’re doing. I always come out feeling like I’ve learned something. It’s always so clean, and the music and smells are so so so nice. I have a lot of anxiety and it’s especially scary when you’re so vulnerable but everyone I have met has been so kind. They even lock up if there’s massages in session to ensure safety. It’s amazing!
I needed to write a review after my experience with a wonderfully weird woman, Karie. Karie was my massage therapist today and I highly suggest her for anyone who has chronic illness or pain. She’s so caring and is so supportive to her clients. If you like eclectic art or fashion styles she will love to tell you so many stories during your sessions. If you like to be talked to during your time being massaged she’s a wonderful person with many hilarious anecdotes and it never felt awkward with...
