The manager kicked my sister out because our movie didn’t start for another 10 minutes and she was making tik toks in the hall to pass the time, she recorded nobody but herself and her music wasn’t loud either , next thing I know I see the manager walk past and tell my sister she can’t record herself in the movie theaters where they are recording us also my sister put her phone up and the manager still asked us to leave. She had already walked past me once and I noticed she had been eyeing my sister when she walked past. When I came and approached the manager about why my sister was asked to leave for recording herself when we are in public and she didn’t record anyone passing by she said I was being disrespectful and proceeded to say we can leave or she was gonna call the cops. We asked for our money back for the movie we didn’t even get to see and she refused us the money and when we asked her why she refused to tell us. We said we wouldn’t move until we got our refund and she proceeded to call the police. The police told her the same thing I did saying to give our money and we can go. She still refused, it took us calling our mother to get our money back and when my mom asked why we were being kicked out she refused to tell our mother the reason. She then called her supervisor and told and you can hear her explaining how she was kicking us out for disruptive behavior. When I asked to speak to the supervisor because neither of our phones were loud they were barely audible or to run the camera back and show how we weren’t being loud or disruptive she refused and threatened to call the police again. She stated we were being disrespectful and rude by asking questions that we had a right to ask. She also didn’t believe us when we said we were waiting for our movie and said we were trying to sneak into one even after showing her our purchased tickets. For this place to have such high reviews their manager is really rude and take her authority and power to serious we had no reason to get kicked out! The manager and staff are so rude trying not to give us a refund when they are in the wrong and still couldn’t show us the proof of us being disruptive. My mom already had to leave a bad review about the place for an employees being racist before. Everytime I have went to this location this manager or an employee has been racist their place of work is disgusting and needs to be looked into they have no reason to act like and the security guard then followed us outside and kept asking us questions after we were trying to leave trying to know whose coming to get us and how are we getting home after we told him our older sister was on the way he still didn’t believe us and kept walking closer to talk to us and kept asking the same question of where was our ride it wasn’t until two nice white women came and told him we already told him where our ride was and to leave us alone and stop messing with us. He listened almost instantly and went back into the mall. The manger is the girl and the two boys are the employees (...
Read moreA hidden gem of a theater! The AMC Penn 10 can easily be missed by movie goers due to it being located in a mall rather than being it's own theater complex. The theater is adequate, small in scale. The layout is a T shaped hallway with auditoriums going down both hallways. The box office is outside the theater and they have kiosks sp you can buy tickets and avoid the lines at the box office.
Pros: The price of admission is fair and the seats are worth the price. The seats recline and the theaters are set up in a stadium seating fashion.
The concession options are great. I recommend the pizza!
This theater supports the AMC food delivery. I ordered a drink and pizza from the AMC app, picked a time for delivery and before my movie started I was treated to my pizza and large drink🥰
The auditoriums dont hold a lot of people, which makes for a much more intimate movie viewing setting .
The bathrooms were also very clean.
Cons: There is no separate entrance to enter this theater! You have to go through the mall and it's on the top level. I reccomend parking at or near JC PENNY'S, it's the closest entrance to the theater I parked at Macys and had to walk a little ways but I didn't mind.
The concession prices are a tad expensive it cost me $17 for a large drink and a pizza.
They only have 1 set of bathrooms. The bathrooms may have enough stalls but if you are not seeing a movie in the main hallway you will have a ways to walk to get to the bathroom. I was in auditorium 8, main hallway, and I had to power walk to the restroom just because of how far it was.😬
No security, and I did not feel totally safe, but that's just a minor complaint.
All in all this is a good theater to go to if you live near the area and want to enjoy a movie in luxury! I would still suggest this AMC over the Warren...
Read moreAMC Penn Square 10 is my favorite theater in the OKC area. It is the only theater that has the plushiest, comfortably reclining chairs (Moore Warren has them too, but aren't as comfortable, in my opinion). I love that they have a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, which allows for me to choose something other than Coke to drink, since these machines have hundreds of options to choose from. The theater is really conveniently located next to a particular entrance of the mall, so it is easy to find if you know where to park. They have self-serve kiosks, so I don't have to wait in a line and the theater is pretty small and intimate, so I don't have any trouble finding a particular auditorium. Their auditoriums are usually kept very cool, so I never have to worry about a room being too warm.
My only complaint is the nachos. AMC must have recently switched the supplier of their nacho cheese, because now, the nacho cheese is awful. I used to order their nacho cheese and use it as a dip for one of their gourmet pretzels, but now, I do not, because the cheese is unbearably awful (but, it's not just this particular AMC, all AMCs in this area have switched to this new cheese).
I live on the south side of OKC, about 15 miles from AMC Penn Square 10. But, instead of driving to Moore Warren (which is about 5 miles from me) or AMC Crossroads 16 (about a mile from me), I will instead make the trip to AMC Penn Square 10, because their customer service is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, the theater is smaller and the picture screens & sound are all top-notch. For me, it's...
