2 people 2 rooms $150+ wasted?
I was here visiting and decided to past the time doing an escape room. I'm no escape artist but I have a few rooms under my belt. It was my friends first time.
Walking by we saw the hosts or gamemaster area and it seemed they were more interested in their phones then the screens.
Played Confinement as a couple we didn't escape, and when they showed us the rest of the puzzle it seemed that we merely got 40-50% done. Even though it seemed like we had unlocked a lot there was more than I would think possible for 2 people to do. The host was great, she did her best to help but the room was labeled 2-7 and 2 seems really low even with the hard difficulty. She really was a great host and even though we were reluctant and deflated she convinced us to come back and try The Gift as it was definitely easier.
So we ate and came back and do The Gift it is 2-6 and medium, and we were reassured that since we got as far as we did on Confinement that The gift would be a breeze.
When we came back we got a different host one of the guys who was on his phone earlier. We explained our difficulties in the earlier game and he told us The Gift was pretty easy.
The Gift ended up being harder for us and the host was terrible with communication and hints. He seemed oblivious and really discompassionate.
Overall felt like a huge waste of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to play for the first time with my friend the other week and had a blast with our game master Michaela (pretty positive Iāve spelt it wrong sorry lol)! She was super kind, made the game fun and got us signed up for the rewards program! Couldnāt wait to come back!
However, fast forward to yesterday night and it was a completely different story. We showed up at 7:30 for our 7:50 game and didnāt get into our game until 8:30. We saw multiple groups get into their games before ours so we just had to wait and watch. Finally got into the game and the room was very well decorated, but not properly set up (one of the locks we were supposed to open later was already unlocked).
Got to the last puzzle in the room and ran out of time. When our game master came back in to see how everything went he seemed confused himself. He didnāt know how much progress we had made in the room like he wasnāt watching us after we had used our clues up. When he explained the answer to the last puzzle to us, it was a solution we had already tried and it didnāt work. He again seemed confused and said it should have worked, but he really just seemed to want to be done with it so we were too.
Great games here, but awful second impression for me and first impression for who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came for a birthday party with 14 year Olds to play "The Gift" and they had a wonderful time! Our game master, Faith, did a great job of allowing is to flounder, then also helping us move forward. We first opened the door, but hadn't actually escaped since we didn't solve all the puzzles, but Faith allowed us the opportunity to continue so we could enjoy the entire experience. I would like to suggest a few things. First, it would be great to have an exit video. If you escaped, a wrap-up video to close out the experience and entice customers to come for the next puzzle would make the experience seem finished and get people to come back. A cliffhanger at the end of chapter, so to speak. If you do not escape, a video to entice the people to come back and also give them a discount to come back would show that you want them to achieve the goal and move to the next chapter. Also, somehow showing that these games are "chapter" and go in a particular would also he greatly appreciated. Also, puzzle solvers are stepping into the game later on, it would he great if you could watch the basic back story before walking into the current puzzle.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and look forward to our...
