ProVolume Inc. — Attraction in Olathe

A few years back I found a custom double DIN head unit that would fit my 2005 Volvo S60 like a glove. After much searching through the many Volvo forums I belong to, it was clear that installing this Bluepower 840 head unit was going to be very challenging to take on as a DIY project.

Enter Ian and ProVolume. I previously visited two shops which left much to be desired.

Of the two previous shops I visited, Ian by far was the most polite and courteous. Here's the thing: Ian is not the cheapest nor is he the most expensive. BUT he guarantees his work, get this, FOR LIFE! Wow! And rest assured that he takes his work very serious.

I dropped my Volvo off at 9:00 AM and Ian had it ready to go by 4:00 PM.

This is an honest, one-man operation! Ian really puts in the work and gets the job done right. My VW had a butchered and broken sound system from previous audio work done on it nearly a decade ago. Ian explained perfectly how he made sure his fixes would last. My music has never sounded better in my car!

Edit: Been meaning to update for awhile, but shortly after getting my system fixed here, I started getting a pretty substantial shaking and feedback issue on the back left speaker. It never goes away and it hurts my ears. I have to turn the music up super loud in order to cancel out the ear pain. I can physically feel the shaking it causes in my steering wheel. When I turn the stereo off, the shaking and reverb go away. I don’t wanna bring my car back in to get it fixed because it’s just not...

I actually didn't end up buy anything from this store, however I want to give kudos to the guy that I talked with today, I don't know anything really about sound systems and getting to the sound that I want, and he could have easily taken advantage of that, however he explained upfront costs and would I would need to get something new set up in my car based on what I was asking about. He wasn't pushy and didn't get "salesy" on me, just provided an extensive amount of education and recommendations if I did decide to purchase something.
