If you are looking for a magical night for a special event, then you need look no further. We hired Amici’s to cater our rehearsal dinner for 65 people that would be set up in our home and around the pool. I thought they would come and cook and serve drinks and that would be it. But, oh no, they are so much more than a cooking and catering company.
During the set up, I forgot that I had not ordered glassware as part of the package and we only had plastic cups. No problem, Amici’s called the office, dispatched a courier and well before the event started the bar was fully stocked with glasses fit for the event.
They don’t just serve the food, they decorate all the serving areas, create a bar that would make any restaurant proud, take care of the guests without being intrusive, and cook with a flair that is not only entertaining but results in the most delicious food. Have the pasta station and the carving station (and throw in some passed appetizers) and your guests will think that they are at the wedding already.
One special note. Our niece has Down’s Syndrome and loves to serve and work in the kitchen. The amazing servers made her night so incredible special. We put a chef’s coat on her that we had obtained at an auction and they found ways to make her a part of the evening that just added to everyone’s pleasure and warmed everyone’s hearts.
A huge thank your to Amici’s and their staff for making our night beautiful, magical and something that we will always remember! We are going to repeat the party in two years when we celebrate our 20 years together (yes it took a while to get married), and wouldn’t think of doing it...

The appetizers were perfectly portioned and were delicious - everyone was waiting for the next tray to come out. We had a plated dinner and our main course included both the "Cuban Chicken" and "Petite Sirloin", our guests were ecstatic about receiving two meat options. The Cuban Chicken is out of this world, and is perfect if you're looking for that Tampa theme / flavor. They also provided Black Bean Cakes for those guests not wanting the meat option - which was just as delicious and filling! Our sides were Spanish rice, black beans, a medley of veggies, side salad, and assorted bread - all ideally complimenting the main course .
Their staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They were highly attentive on when to serve and when to be behind the scenes (e.g. during speeches). They worked seamlessly with our wedding manager (Kelly from Blue Skies) and were very familiar with the venue and how to operate on the property.
Their display (linens, plates, silverware, etc.) were high quality, and they had a multitude of options to choose from when it comes to style & color.
Taking advantage of their tasting at their headquarter location is a MUST as you will learn about the entire process, you'll be able to try several dishes, and meet their friendly & helpful team.
We highly recommend working with Amici's as they are a first-class catering company providing delicious food, fantastic variety, friendly service, and competitive pricing. They were a key piece in making our...
Read moreThe TRC provided a list of caters we could choose from. There was a variety of cuisine, styles and price points. We set up a tasting with Catering by the Family and Amici’s. We ultimately went with Amici’s and had a plated dinner (rolls, salad and a double entree of chicken, steak, mashed potatoes and vegatable medley). The food was delicious and the service was prompt! They were accommodating as we had a vegan guest who enjoyed his meal (eggplant parm and veggies). We also had an open (premium) bar that was open from the start of cocktail hour to 30 minutes prior to our reception ending. We set up a bar on the balcony between our ceremony and cocktail space as well as utilize the kitchenette set up inside in the main hallway. We had a signature drink inspired by our dog, “The Handsome Man,” which was vodka, grapefruit juice, salted rim and a grapefruit garnish. We did four passed hor d’oveours for cocktail hour: Cuban egg roll, meatballs, chicken flatbread and BLT bites. And for dessert we opted for an ice cream sundae bar! Our guests absolutely loved it since it was warm outside. They had an array of deserts you could choose from as well if ice cream is not your thing. And we set up a water station through them prior to the start of our ceremony. We also provided coffee services. Prior to our wedding, the staff was repsonsive and helpful when it came to addressing our questions or concerns. And the day of staff...
