While I don't want to hurt someone's business by leaving a negative review, I see value in sharing my experience so others can be informed. I recently scheduled a sugaring appointment. I was going to a salon further from home, but figured I'd give this spot a try when I learned they offer sugaring. I plan not to go back due to the following. There was gauzy material on the exam tables instead of sheets, under which is a plastic covering that only covers the middle of the table, and I'm not sure if the tables are sanitized between clients. My stylist said up front her understanding of English is limited, and shared with me her skin doesn't respond well to sugaring, and she prefers hot wax. I shared with her my skin prefers it over hot wax. After this, during an intimate area wax, as I had recently removed hair via shaving it was a bit more challenging. This I expected. What I did not expect was that, in order to finish up some more stubborn spots, she switched to hot wax after what I shared earlier, and without asking me first. I'm grateful my skin (particularly in that area) did not react, but it was startling. Nanda did amazing work and I definitely will be back to see her. She is a superstar at what she does. I called and left a voicemail with the corporate number to let you all know how amazing they treated me. I never leave reviews, however, these women were beyond amazing. If I had been somewhere else, I’m sure I would have left in tears of embarrassment than my cards declined. Eva did more than she had to and she solved my problem. Eva is such a beautiful person, inside out. She was so compassionate and kind. I felt no shame or judgement from anyone there. Human to human, their caring demeanor towards me was unbelievable. The receptionist told me walk-ins are welcome I may have to wait. I hadn’t told her I did my research and was going to need more than the Groupon. She told me I could only come Monday thru Wednesday and I could be refused if I don't book ahead of time. Being in the beauty industry for 8 years prior this tells me they're only selling Groupon for the newbie girls and when she said they're "special cases" it sent me over the top in anger!
