my wife and i attended a company Christmas party , she was asked to work after for a couple of hours we decided to go to the goodwill and get a change of cloths. she needed shoes also for she was dressed up for the company party. she tried some sneakers on and had to borrow a pair of socks with the retail price of about 2 dollars. while she tried shoes on a young guy working or volunteering for the store spent at least a good hour in one spot wear the woman's dressing seemingly staring at the woman and talking with another customer for at least an hour . my wife tried on clothes and he didn't miss a second . he made my wife fill uneasy and we gathered who cloths to check out . we checked out i told her i would pick her up with the car because we were in alittle bit of a hurry to get her to work at that point . she paid for her items but accidently forgot the pay for the socks. the young man rushed her at the door and acted as if she did something wrong . he made her take her shoes off and another store employee had her with a camera like she attempted to shoplift the socks. now we are honest christian people and would not shoplift a 2 dollar pair of socks . we both work and are responsible people. i received to payment request for 300 and now 500 demanding payment over this from firm. is this how goodwill treats people who come to shop there which in the world i live in, it is called malice and ignorance when 80 percent of there items are donated. attempting to clear cut someone for a human mistake is...
Read moreI would leave a five star review as the place is big, and you can find pretty decent pieces of clothing, sometimes with brand tags. There is also a section for new articles towards the back of the store. There is plenty of parking, and a drive thru area where you can drop your articles.
BUT There is a HUGE problem, though. Despite having signs in every dressing room stating that the maximum allowed number of items is 5 (FIVE), many people enter with a WHOLE cart full of clothes (today I witnessed at least 3 people with some 25-35 items of clothing). The cart in the photo is just an example, that woman had gotten inside the dressing room already with AT LEAST 15 articles. Sadly, there is NO ONE enforcing the "5 garment maximum" store policy. I did ask an employee that was closed by, and asked for a manager. This employee, whose name starts with an M, did nothing to help. She did say that she couldn't call on people, but she didn't call a supervisor either.
This is my closest Goodwill, and I like to support the cause and round up to the nearest dollar. But someone needs to fix this issue. Very disrespectful with the rest of the people that DO abide by the policy.
Mrs. Emrich, please...
Read moreVery large location in Oldsmar selling donated and new goods. The pricing is higher than a lot of thrift stores on clothing, even a used Walmart top will be $5. There are bargains to be had but a lot of things to go through. This Goodwill is one of my favorite places to donate for convenience as they have a drive through on the side of the building with carts outside for your donations. The downside is no one will help you unload your stuff if you have something heavy or bulky. If you purchase a large item as furniture though they will help you load it so go figure.
The store is mostly clean and well lit with shopping carts available. The clothing is organized by size and type for men, women and children making it easy to go through racks. There are dressing rooms to try on. There are household goods, decor, furniture, etc. One color tag is designated as 1/2 price and posted at the entrance and throughout the store but there are no senior or other discounts. If you are in the area and like thrift stores and/or...
