I miss my Spiritual family. I spent a lot of time walking those hallways , and getting everything set-up for 2 Sunday School Classes, and worked teaching the pre-school children which many of them came from the Baby room where I started out. I still have photos of the pre-school classes. If I was asked what I enjoyed most would be...My answer would be Gods love And strength to make sure the children had fun but also learned Bible Verses (and memorized them as well), the joy and smiles I received most every time I walked into the Church. I loved working closely with Sylvia LeRiche, she is a great inspiration to everyone. Not a bad word came out from her. And the other memory I will forever hold is that Chuck and I were Married at the church by Phil Wilson. I met so many people it would be impossible to name them all. I was involved with a lot of the activities that the Church held, and loved all of it. Those memories of Evergreen (ECC) will never fade. One day I hope to see those people. I had the opportunity to see some at Stephanie Hoff's wedding. I had the privilege to watch 2 amazing Pastors perform weddings, (Jim Ladd and Noah Naipo), I also had the honor of recovering the Motorcycle seat for Chad Dickinson. Thank you ECC for all the...
Read moreI really love this place and everything about it. The worship has been wonderful. I found it refreshing to worship with fellow believers with songs that are easy to sing along. I love the pounding of the drums. It’s like telling the people it’s time to worship with everything you got.
The ministry of the Word has been powerful causing me to reflect on what God is doing in my life. Then the pastor ups and leaves us and the beautiful Pacific Northwest to a place in the Rocky Mountains. It was quite upsetting but the move of God is working out his purpose here on earth with his church so it is incumbent on me to say ‘amen’ and it is God’s will to be done. Last week we heard a wonderful message from the missions pastor so I trust the Lord will continue his blessing to his body of believers. It’s great when we can’t be there physically we can watch church online.
I also love the ministry of giving as this church is offering to the congregation to participate. I love the $1 dollar offering that goes out to the community to take care of those in need.
I just started tithing our portion, my wife and I, to the church. I hope to increase it as the Lord continues to bless.
“The Lord bless thee and keep thee and cause his face to shine upon thee. “ Taigen...
Read moreI’m military and I’ve moved place to place. I’m used to having to relocate until something clicks. This church was the first one we ever came to. And though I believe there can always be room for improvement in any area regardless of church or member in Christ etc. I really believe this is a nice church.
This is the church I was able to have my first baptism at with my dad before he went on a 9 month long deployment. This is the church that taught me I’m no longer my sin. And the church I still attend to this day with my family.
If I had to give a request, it would be for the sermons to be more impactful. I don’t need crazy lights and piano in the background. But truly convicting sermons that reflect repentance and the killing of sin. I look back at sermons and see a few jokes here and there (which I like) along with a story that ties into it but the message never clicked. There was never Something real, in a sense. It was kind of like a comedy show. (Not in a rude sense I’m sorry if it came off like that)
But over all it’s an amazing church with friendly people. And I can’t wait to finally get grounded in a “home” church. Thank you for your...
