West Central Park — Attraction in Olympia

I am in increasing awe of the powerful beauty and utility of this neighborhood corner. Just walked back from the Tuesday Farmer's Market with a basket of delish looking cabbage, poblano peppers and a whole chicken. People are happy here, vendors and shoppers both. A man played guitar on stage. The landscape design and architecture of the surrounding homes is reason enough to stroll through. This park is going to be a monumental place for this community. A place where community is its essence. Ive been to festivals, markets, live music, outdoor movies, and just for a nice place to sit for lunch. What a great little community park. Fabulous live music and at times they do a farmer's market. I came to visit the little free art library and was pleasantly surprised to see music being played. Lots of space for people to space out and bring their chairs and relax. Wonderful use of what was previously a spot that sat vacant...
