If this review were based solely on Heather in the front office it would be 0 stars. Every time we've been through she has a nasty attitude. She becomes extremely put out any time you ask a question or make a request. Ordinarily this behavior doesn't bother me since my most significant interaction with her is handing her a credit card. This last trip however, she stepped way out of line. Not only did she refuse to put us in the slip I requested (which remained empty for the duration of our stay), she complained about us on the phone to her supervisor and said my husband couldn't back a boat into a slip. Funny considering he is a 30 year professional mariner with 20 of those years as a Mississippi River pilot :). Her opinion means absolutely nothing to me however, this was all said in front of other customers and made its way back to us swiftly. When we come back through in October we will NOT be staying here. Not only does the marina lose our slip fees but all of the money we spend at the shops and restaurants. Such a shame that someone so unprofessional and rude can chase off repeat customers. Additionally, the boat with the people who overheard her loud obnoxious tirade won't be...
Read moreMy wife and I have stayed in a slip at the Wharf for several nights during previous years that Kenny Chesney came to the Wharf Amphitheater. We bought tickets this year for his show. We were concerned to find out, when we called to reserve a slip, that the marina would be under construction for a “couple” of months. My issue is that I called monthly and then weekly for months and was told they could not accept reservations. They also were not running a waiting list. Over the last 3 weeks, I called at least twice per week and most recently this week on Wednesday. On Wednesday I was told that they were still not accepting reservations because they had not received the government approvals required . I called today and was told they are sold out of their 40 ft slips. I guess I was not on the secret waiting list. I was also told they got rid of many of the 40 ft slips, I’m a capitalist so I guess I can’t fault their...
Read moreWe normally stay at Lulu's but needed at boat pump out since it was just me and hubby with 65' and paid way more there to have that amenity. We were there for a month and it only worked the first time. We explained the situation and ask what we could do to fix the situation and they had no idea and didn't care. It was in Jan and cold so dock hands never walked the piers, trash cans were always so full and a few times We had to just put bags on the pier. We were shocked and disappointed and it cost way too much for young unexperienced people not to walk piers, empty trash cans and make sure boaters and boats are ok. Yall need to call Bay Point Marina in Panama City to have their dock hands train y'all's. We never have issues here, especially ones that they don't solve. I'm so sorry, I wish it would have been a better review, because it would mean we would come...
