A neat place really. Very homey feeling, the place is definitely compact, and it adds to it's charm. The times we've come to dine-in we were greeted with a friendly hello from Michelle. An incredibly kind and sweet young lady who is there to make sure you're well taken care of. The food, we took a chance on this place, there's been times where it's just gone wrong. Thankfully we were wrong this time around, the food was absolutely fantastic. The Tonkotsu ramen was incredibly delicious! I've had the opportunity now to have tried a few variations of their ramen, and it has not disappointed. It's very consistent! We have also had some side dishes as well, the gyoza, both fried and pan seared. I would say both have the right texture and that perfect crispiness when biting down on one. Pictured in this review is also a rice bowl, with chicken. Excellent chicken and rice combination, very filling as well. I'm more of a extra sauce kind of guy and that just elevated the bowl a little higher, excellent! I would definitely recommend this place to people, I feel it's just right when you have that ramen craving, portion size is also just right. I will definitely continue to return and enjoy this delicious ramen. My girlfriend and I will give a shout-out to the employee Michelle once again. Happy eating!

Nothing negative to say about how great this place is. It’s hard to find a good ramen spot in the area and this is my other go to place for now on. The service is great. Attentive and their so respectful. Friendly greeting upon entry. Seated and served. The establishment is cute. Very aesthetically pleasing. Their ramen is tasty smooth. The teriyaki rice plate is so worth it. The chicken is crisp to perfection I don’t like a lot of teriyaki sauce on my chicken and they put a good amount on there so you get that savory sweet with that crisp flavor in your mouth. The last Vegas roll was also perfect. It wasn’t too spicy but just the right amount. The Hokkaido and Thai tea were made perfectly. So hard to get milk teas without them being too bland or sweet. These were paired well with our meal. Living here in the oc and passing by this spot was a great choice. Definitely worth having a seat and enjoying their selection. Makes me miss being back at home. So highly recommend this spot

(2/5 ⭐️) Dan Dan Ramen ($15.95) with Wood ear mushroom & a soft egg ($1.50 extra each) This was just ok … I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it. I was disappointed in three parts. 1. The ramen noodles used seem like spaghetti noodles 2. The noodles used have such a strong flour flavor that I couldn’t taste anything else in the ramen 3. This ramen was supposed to be spicy and there was NO spice level🌶 (1/5 ⭐️) Hanano Bun $5.95 Very disappointed with this app. The buns were hard and the meat and fixings inside had no flavor what so ever. All I could taste was the sauce on top. (4/5⭐️) Steamed Dumpling $11.95 These were actually pretty darn good. They were flavorful and juicy. (1000 times better than their dumpling house neighbor) Overall, this place is just ok. It’s mostly a convenient location if you’re out walking around in Old Town Orange. If you’re really craving ramen, there are much better places in OC.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hanano, a sushi and ramen restaurant that exceeded my wildest expectations. The incredible culinary experience I enjoyed at this gem of a restaurant has left me eager to share my thoughts with others.

From the moment I entered Hanano, I was taken by its warm and inviting ambiance. The tasteful décor, with traditional Japanese touches and modern elegance, created a perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they served, ensuring we felt welcome and well-informed throughout our meal.

The sushi at Hanano was simply divine. Each piece was a masterful blend of fresh, high-quality fish and perfectly seasoned rice, creating a symphony of flavors that was nothing short of extraordinary. The attention to detail and presentation was impeccable, and I particularly loved the chef's innovative fusion creations. The Spicy Tuna Volcano Roll and the Hanano Rainbow Roll were standouts, each bursting with unique flavors that danced on my taste buds.

As for the ramen, it was equally impressive. Hanano's homemade noodles were tender and flavorful, while the broth was rich, complex, and expertly balanced. I opted for the Tonkotsu Ramen, and I can confidently say it was the best I've ever had. The tender, melt-in-your-mouth chashu pork, soft-boiled marinated egg, and perfectly cooked noodles were enveloped in a velvety, savory broth that left me craving more.

To complement the exquisite food, Hanano offers an excellent selection of sake, beer, and wine, with expert recommendations from the knowledgeable staff. I particularly enjoyed their premium sake flight, which allowed me to sample a variety of different styles and flavors.

I cannot recommend Hanano enough for anyone who appreciates top-notch sushi and ramen. With its superb food, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere, Hanano has quickly become my go-to destination for Japanese cuisine. I eagerly await my next visit, and I encourage everyone to experience this culinary treasure...

If I could give zero stars for service, I would. The food is fine, but DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER ONLINE. The first time we placed an order, we got confirmation that the order was received and being cooked. When the system said it was ready for pickup, we went inside only to be told that they just received the order and that it would be a thirty minute wait for our to-go food. I showed them the confirmations, and they refused to move my order to the top of the line despite the fact that we had already been waiting 40 minutes.

Tonight, we decided to give the ordering system another try - only, this time, we called to confirm that the online order had been received. My husband called and spoke to a female employee at the restaurant, and after reading our order back to us, she told us that the order had just come through (20 minutes after we had placed it) and that it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. We were already expecting this, so we weren’t shocked or bothered. When my husband got to the restaurant to pick up our order, the girl working proceeded to tell him that they had no record of our order and then refused to give us any food (for which we had already paid!). The employee told my husband that no one had called the phone and that they hadn’t talked to him, so he proceeded to pull up the call log and the order confirmations. Then, another girl came out from back and said “oh yeah, I think I talked to you” yet still proceeded to claim that they had no record of our order.

This business scammed us out of our food tonight. All I can say is that we certainly will never eat here again. Horrible business, horrible service, horrible...
