My kiddos had fun and despite being an older playground, the area and grounds were well maintained. It's nice that the park isn't close to any super busy roads. Both Playgrounds were definitely built with littler kids in mind. The swings and slides are short. The sand was a hit with the kids. Seemed to be a popular place for dog walkers. They only had a couple of Porta-potties but it was better than nothing. Nice, quiet park.

Beautiful park. Great place to ride bikes, play with friends, play with dogs, play on the two jungle gyms. Has tennis courts too.

Nestled in the heart of Milwaukie, Oregon, Risley Park stands out as a haven for both families and those seeking an active outdoor experience. This park exudes a perfect balance between natural beauty and well-designed amenities. One of the standout features of Risley Park is its unique bike roundabout. This ingenious inclusion not only showcases the park's commitment to supporting cyclists but also ensures that riders, whether seasoned or beginners, can enjoy their cycling sessions without any interruptions.

Furthermore, when it comes to catering to children, Risley Park truly excels. It boasts a plethora of play structures that cater to a wide range of age groups. Each structure is thoughtfully designed, ensuring that kids don't just play, but also stimulate their imagination and physical agility. The laughter and excitement echoing from these areas are a testament to just how much fun they provide.

The verdant surroundings, punctuated by well-maintained pathways and seating areas, make it an ideal place for picnics, leisurely walks, or simply soaking in the serenity. Every corner of Risley Park reflects the effort and dedication put into its creation and maintenance. It's a testament to Milwaukie's commitment to providing quality recreational spaces for its residents. A visit here is not just recommended;...

SUMMARY: Local gem! Perfect size and balance for things to do, places to relax and get exercise, and play structures for kids.

DETAILS: I've been taking my kids to this park since 2003 and it hasn't changed, which is not a bad thing. It's a perfect mix of play structures, a big, grassy open space, and a very nice greenway path leads you through a nice, shady wooded by open area. In addition, there is a tennis court and I think a basketball hoop?

Even though my kids are too old to "park" anymore, my dogs look forward to their every-Sunday outing. Dogs must be leashed!

I love that this park is located in a single-family residential-type neighborhood. It's like a hidden gem that only the locals know about.

Access is easy, even though there is no official parking lot. I've never seen the place crowded, and there is plenty of street parking on both north and south sides of the park.

I love...

This is a nice park for adults, children, and leashed dogs. There is a basketball court, tennis court, paved walking path, two play structures, and a small-ish grassed area with a home plate set up.

Although, this park does not offer a great location for exercising dogs off leash. The small park is surrounded by back yard fences, water acess to a small creek, and roads on two sides. Additionally, a portion of the park is wet lands and becomes flooded durinv the rainy seasons which, reducing the size of the...
