Was not that great, after spending quite alot, was told the bags they had were the same as another bags I was refering to, and after grtting home found they were definitely not, no adhesive strip on them, Also, the way the items were handled at check out was pretty gruesome too, which shocked me a bit, shuffling through them just to arrange the order, then again to scan, on top of that and probably the worst part of the trip here, I was told I wasn't charged for something previously and was made to pay for it on this purchase, which of course did, but an extra $20 charge, just felt kinda cruel. Kinda wish i looked at them outside of the bags because they seem a bit handled now. Also didn't ring up the sodas which was an extra cc charge. just a bummer trip. an extra star because my first few purches were fine, but...

I love my comic books store! The owner, Bruce, knows that I’m essentially a “comic novice” and has done a great job educating me in a comfortable way. I came in originally because I’m a huge Batman ‘No Mans Land’ fan. I read the Batman novel by Greg Rucka and was hooked and wanted to read more of the comics that were the inspiration for that novel. Having always been a Batman fan, I wasn’t overly exposed to the origins of so many other well known DC or Marvel characters and story lines. While I’m learning some of those, Bruce has exposed me to Saga and The Black Hammer, exceptionally well written stories. It’s wonderful to walk into the store and know that’s I’ll get recommendations suitable to my individual taste and that I get to support a local business owner and his family by shopping there. One of the best shops in the greater Portland metro area, and that is really saying something if you know anything about the area and comic book stores. This is the place you can feel comfortable taking a friend, your kiddos, or your partner and not worry about them having fun while you dig through the plethora of back issues, new releases or their extensive graphic novel section. If you're a parent this store easily has the best and safest kids section around, filled with books for all ages and a fun area for them to read in while you shop.
