If you’re in the mood for an authentic taste of Japan, Nami Sushi & Ramen is a must-visit! The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed into a clean, modern and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The menu offers a wonderful variety of dishes beyond just sushi. While their sushi is fresh and perfectly crafted, showcasing a wide range of rolls, they also have a great selection of hot dishes, including their rich and flavorful ramen. Each bowl of ramen is packed with savory broth and tender noodles, making it a comforting choice on any day. What truly stands out at Nami Sushi & Ramen is the presentation. Every dish is beautifully plated, making your meal not only delicious but a feast for the eyes as well. The attention to detail in both the taste and presentation shows the care put into each dish. The experience is made even more fun with their brilliant touch of delivering customers orders by a mini model train straight to your table. That is such a creative and enjoyable way to make our meal even more memorable! On top of that, the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety of the food. You get great value for the experience, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special outings. oh, I almost forgot to mention, I’m not sure if it’s just temporary, but now when you spend over $80, you get to draw a surprise gift from their giant twist-bending machine. My kids had such a blasted!!! Whether you’re craving fresh sushi, hearty ramen, or other delicious Japanese dishes, Nami Sushi & Ramen is sure to impress!

The service was fantastic, they were very attentive and kind :) the wait staff made sure ordered items came out quickly and accurately. They weren't stingy with the spicy mayo which is great, that's a core part of sushi for me haha. The restaurant is very clean and orderly, the sushi table is clean and well lit, there are descriptors for the items before they come along, which I loved, I don't see that at many sushi places! For a belt place especially, the food is VERY good. The meats look like they are great, quality cuts and they taste like it too, there's several different types of rolls and items for you to try. I think the jalapeno rolls are SUPER spicy but if you like that, you will really enjoy them. The macaroons are actually worth paying a couple dollars for, my favorite were the raspberry ones, they crush really nice, you can tell the ingredients are very good. Also, if you like a very smokey flavor, the smoked salmon roll might be good to try. Prices aren't bad either and the area is nice. Thanks guys!

Sat at 7pm on Thursday night while the restaurant was full. We were there for almost two hours and the only thing that was ever replaced on the conveyor was the ebi nigiri. Conveyor belt was almost entirely empty the whole time. The signs were out for all the rolls, but were never actually replenished. Watched the same handful of old, tired plates rotate thru the entire time. They were simultaneously doing a good amount to to-go/pickup orders, but not prioritizing in-store customers. We asked the server if they were going to stock the conveyor with more food but she said the cooks “didn’t want to.” The couple next to us got up after asking about the lack of options. We finally gave up once it got closer to closing time and figured they definitely weren’t making anything new. Sushi is mediocre— it seems to me the only draw here is conveyor model, but that’s clearly not being prioritized so what’s the point? Not worth even the short drive from Portland.

I went in yesterday for lunch and was highly disappointed. As a review left prior to mine suggested to give the restaurant grace because it was a soft opening, there were glaring issues I could not overlook.

On the second day of their soft opening, when we walked in, we were the only patrons in the restaurant.

I ordered a soda and was not advised it was in a can. Not the biggest deal, but I just wasn’t expecting it. Just know, if you visit, you’ll only have the choice of Coke, Coke Zero, or Sprite. The water was decent tap water and came without straws. Pretty cool that it all came out on its own conveyor.

All of the food on the conveyor belt was extremely cold and did seem to be old. Whether or not they make the sushi fresh is not the point. The point of conveyor sushi is to have the freedom to choose from a variety of fresh sushi at my convenience. I usually only order from the menu if there is a specific plate I don’t see come around. If the sushi is not fresh to the point I should have to order it off of the menu, for health reasons, it should probably be removed and replaced.

As far as our server, she was very nice and personable. Provided 5 star service!

The point of a soft opening is to obtain feedback from customers. However, soft opening or not, our experience was so bad we got up, left, and went somewhere else for sushi.

The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. If you are looking for something more polished then yes, go somewhere more established. God forbid you want to try a new place closer to your house only to end up severely disappointed.

Ian, your review makes it seem like you have a stake in the restaurant. To specifically target a review left to the degree you did suggests to me that you may be a part owner. Also, many of the reviews I have read on here also seem to have been left by staff members judging by the profile pictures and the staff I had interactions with yesterday.

Good luck though!...

Was really excited to try this place and see what the hype was about. Unfortunately left disappointed and probably would not go back.

First when I walked in there was a party of 20 people trying to check out and when I asked the server to be seated she was really confused on what I was asking which was strange. We got seated pretty quick which was a plus and then it went down hill from there. We ordered a ramen and one sushi roll and I tried to order the agedashi tofu. Was told they might not have it and they would check. Server never came back to tell me if they had it or not.... they did not. Ramen came out first and then i had to ask where my sushi roll was. By the time I got my sushi roll my boyfriend was done eating his ramen already.

There was no sushi on the conveyor belt only sweets and if there was it looked really old. The roll I got was the atomic roll and somehow the rice was mushy but also not cooked all the way at the same time. Tuna was also fishy and oddly cooked (deep fried roll but I've never tasted a deep fried roll that the fish was weirdly cooked but not at the same time). We also had probably 4 different people help us. All the servers were oddly timid and I couldn't understand them most of the time or they would come to our table and just stare at us until I said something.

To mention the girl that was confused about us wanting to eat there and sit down also had friends dining in and she only seemed to care about her friends.

Wouldn't reccomend this place unfortunately and monster tea was closed :/ After eating a couple pieces of my atomic roll I am also not...
