We had so much fun adventuring around this waterfall. There was even a guy who hung his hammock near the fall to enjoy the sound of the water crashing along the rocks and into the creek. This waterfall is past Multnomah Falls & Dutchman Falls. If you keep on trekking, you’ll reach Ecola Falls. I enjoyed seeing all three falls compared to the upper Multnomah Falls (just looking over the cliff- can’t really see the waterfall- just the creek). Escape the madness and be one with nature.

Check my YouTube- WaterfallWhispering for a vid on this trail. What a cool waterfall, once there reaching the pool underneath the falls is not very difficult and surely worth a dip if you don’t mind the chilly water! Far less people come here past the top of Multnomah but in the summer it can still be very busy! For other waterfalls please visit my YouTube and you will hopefully be inspired to go other places in the gorge!

Just mind blowing experience for a summer hike! You can jump over the trunks in front of Wiesendanger Falls (be careful tho) , and enjoy the sound of the water plus birds around. Extremely peaceful place. For the summer: Will recommend waterproof hiking shoes for it, bunch of water and maybe snacks or a small lunch. The hardest part of this hike is going up to the multnomah falls overlook.

If you took the time to hike up to the top of Multnomah Falls, take the extra time to continue on the trail up to Weisendanger Falls and beyond. Just passed weisendanger Falls is Ecola Falls. If you made it this far and you're in good shape, you might consider turning right onto the wahkeena # 420 Trail and making the hike back down to Wahkeena Falls and then along the trail which parallels the highway back to Multnomah Falls. It's over 5 miles around trip but if you are in shape and looking for a nice hike...
