7/14/25 Multnomah Falls is a total 620' tall-Allow at least 1hr to 1 1/2 hours total. Specifically for viewing the falls, crossing the bridge, and visiting the visitor center. Bathrooms are available. About 40 minutes of walking time around and to the falls. But more hiking to get to the top of the falls if you want. You need a person in your group to show their parking pass at the area where you cross under the highway from the I-84 lot. I believe it is good for up to 4 people. If you are on foot you will have to walk from Bridal Veil Falls (parking lot is free there). You need to buy a parking pass for Multnomah's parking lot for $2, which is good for the time you choose during certain hours you visit. The pass will get you through the entry point for the falls. The trail is 1/4 mile long from Bridal Veil to get to Multnomah Falls. Since you will not cross under the highway from Multnomah's parking lot, it will be free with no pass needed to see the falls. (There you will not be arriving from the I-84 exit into Multnomah's pay per car parking lot, so you are on the other side of the entry point). Beautiful...
Read moreThe Falls and the walk to the top was fun and beautiful. But warning Google will take you to the front of the visitors center where parking is an unreasonable $20. Especially when 100 yards away off Rt84 there is a huge free lot. There are not any signs indicating such nor does the security guard supply that info. Machine only takes Mastercard and Visa NO Discover, American Express or Cash! Restaurant was very nice, food and waitress were excellent but hostess was a bit rude. Dining room was empty except for one table with a baby, instead of asking where we would like to sit or offering us a table with a good view she placed us right next to the other diners putting my menu on the table at the chair right next to the crying baby. Waitress politely moved us when asked. During the time we ate our meal only two other tables were sat both with excellent views of the falls. Gift shop had way too many items made in China instead of by local artisans or even USA. Disappointing for a...
Read moreWe spent some time seeing the falls and then ate in the restaurant. The restaurant does take reviews through Open Table. Depending on where you sit, you can see the falls from the dining room.
I appreciate that the restaurant prioritizes local ingredients and local beers on their menu. The dishes that my wife and I ordered were decent, but not notable. I had the salmon. My wife had the prime rib. Neither stood out in terms of taste, but were a solid, decent meal at reasonable prices. She had a glass of wine, I had a beer. I am guessing that the restaurant has gotten by on their proximity to the falls versus on having unique, memorable food dishes. Service was mediocre, we were not asked if we wanted a second beverage and were not checked in on after being served the meal other than to ask about dessert and then to bring the check. Otherwise, our waitress was friendly, as was the host. I would not return as the dining experience was not...
