READ THIS REVIEW! Absolutely horrible experience. So much to say. I just left the stadium, me and 7 other family and friends were here to see stray kids. Everything was fine until we had to get up to wait in the line for the gates. Firstly, they had no type of sun protection set up. Blazing Florida heat, no tents, no fans, no anything. Second, the employees were extremely unprofessional and untrained. They had no idea what was going on, where to go, or what you could or couldn’t bring into the stadium. One employee was being trained on the spot it seemed with other employees telling him what to do and yelling at him that he wasn’t listening. When I asked this same employee if my stadium approved bag was okay, he told me I had to throw out all my regular, unopened zephyr hills water bottles. He was then later told by another employee that they can bring water bottles in, after I had already thrown mine away. So now we had no water for the last 30-45 minutes we had to wait in line in the direct sunlight, all because camping world stadium didn’t hire or train people before hand! There was no organization to the lines, we were lined waiting at gate c, no signs telling people where to go, what line was what, just chaos. Then they opened the gates and it got even worse, they had gate a, gate b, gate c and who knows what else all line up at gate c, so it was extremely packed which didn’t help the sweltering heat. It was literally a free for all. When I would ask employees where to go or what line this is, multiple answered with I don’t know. When someone passed out in line and bystanders called for a medic, they were ignored by the guest service workers!! Unbelievable. Not to mention when we finally got to the metal detectors, they were not thorough whatsoever. Again, seemed like they were training people on the spot. One employee let a good amount of people through even though they set off the metal detector before another employee corrected him. 3rd, because of the previous listed organization problems and the complete lack of preparedness from the stadium, my sister (whom bought all the tickets, she was the whole reason we went on this trip) had multiple seizures when we finally got to our seats in the stadium. The paramedics that came to help were also unprofessional, one of them told me “nah I think she’s okay, probably just a heat stroke we’re not going to transport her” right before she went into another seizure. An absolute shit show every way you look at it. Will never return and will tell everyone I possibly can to do the same. A complete failure on the part of camping world stadium. Unprofessional, unsafe and just downright horrible. Multiple young women got taken out on stretchers because of seizures and heat strokes. And I do want to say that the paramedics who took my sister and I to the hospital were amazing. The only two employees in that whole stadium who had compassion and care for others. You would think they would be ready for an event this size seeing how they have concerts for huge artists all the time, but sadly they were anything but and it was literally hurting people because of it. Ps: we took all proper steps to ensure we stayed okay in the sun, sun screen, water bottles, (that an employee told me to throw away) we brought food to eat when waiting, we stayed in the one shaded area until we got in line at 3:30, which hey, another employee told us to do even though the gates weren’t supposed to open until 5:30! Failed in every aspect. Don’t come here. You will literally be 10x safer going anywhere else. Can’t comment on the views or how the show was because we didn’t even get to see it start since it was so poorly managed. Update: My sister just got discharged from the hospital 4 hours later, surprise surprise the doctors and nurses seem to think she had seizures because of heat exhaustion/heat stroke! Which we did everything in our power to prevent but the stadium did NOTHING to prevent. This place and everyone who worked there (besides the 2 paramedics I...
Read moreThis stadium has done a lot of events and they still can't make things flow well. It took 2 hours to get into parking lot 6 due to the disorganization. There was 1 sign directing where parking was, but OPD would threaten tickets if you didn't change lanes that were not designated for parking entrances. They yell at you to drive around again, but it took 2 hours to get where I was in the first place.
When finally parked, the handicap is way far away from the entrance. It is a good 1/8 mile to the gate. The closer parking was VIP parking. Wow...
Once at the gate security was stopping people from bringing in bags that were within the rules of the stadium. They said that P!nk promoters changed the rules and the bags had to be smaller. The stadium should have updated their site for this concert...
Then security was losing their mind over bringing in a pillow. Spouse just had back surgery and the pillow needed special approval to take in. We are already sitting in the handicap seating which are metal chairs. A pillow is needed for anyone.
We arrived to our seats and there are 2 chairs for 4 tickets. We are told someone grabbed the chairs and took them down a section to learn those people had tickets for the terrace above. We get our chairs and they are crammed together. I was almost in the lap of the person next to me.
The restrooms were a joke. They had no toilet paper or paper towels. I ended up asking one of the food vendors for a stack of napkins. They ran out of toilet paper before the 2nd act finished.
The vendor options were so 1990s. Pizza, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and BBQ sandwiches. Plus beer, water, Pepsi (no diet available), Gatorade, and mixed drinks. Anyone on diet restrictions, and diabetics, were just screwed.
The concert was great. We really enjoyed the show. The venue was horrible. I am definitely thinking twice on going to any future events at this venue.
On a side note, I don't understand why Orlando still hasn't built real parking for this venue. All that money they taxed people for the venue to be rebuilt to leave out parking just blows my mind. They built the carriage, but forgot...
Read moreI love this stadium, it is my to go place for the Monster Jam World Finals or concerts. The reasons why I give them 4 stars instead of 5 are the following.
1st; the parking is limited near the stadium (yes they have several lots in the area but these are not paved so when it rains like tonight 05/21/2022 it is a complete and utter mess) so I think it is time for them to build a multi level parking like the one next to the Amway Arena.
2nd; though they do not lack personnel to run the events most are from a 3rd party contractor & the majority of the personnel don't know where facilities are, can't give you clear directions, or simply they stand like statues or playing on their phones. Thank goodness I know the place well, but I feel bad for those who visit for the first time. This can be improved with proper training or hiring personnel that has vast work experience in this venue.
Last but not least the handicap areas are not properly labeled, the ushers have a hard time accomodating the guests because it is very confusing, and the worst part is that they are not watched over properly causing that other unruly and disrespectful visitors invade these areas disturbing guests that are on wheelchairs or have special needs. I've been pushed, shoved, hit on my walker by unsupervised children and adults alike because they simply want a better view, and these seats do not come cheap or with any discount applied.
Pros: Nice and spacious venue, security is very good and Orlando Law Enforcement is present at all times. Handicap friendly execpt for the reasons mentioned above, and the variety of concession stands/vendors on site.
Cons: Limited parking, lack of knowledge from 3rd party personnel, and if you are handicapped/ disabled be prepared to watch over your assigned area or it will be invaded by others.
Overall this is a great stadium that with a few improvements would be the perfect one. Make sure when visiting to check for weather alerts as Florida weather is extremely variable especially from May to November and don't forget to bring an umbrella or poncho in...
