Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure — Attraction in Orlando

MUST RIDE!! If you’ve previously ridden this ride or tried to and couldn’t because it had issues I would strongly recommend trying it again! They have gotten it working very well & reliably to the point that you don’t usually wait as long as it says! (Usually 10-20 mins faster at most but still!) The only time they have problems with it is when the loading zone ends up stopping because someone wasn’t ready in a pair of two and didn’t decide motorbike or sidecar ahead of time or someone decided they didn’t want to ride! You have to get on quickly! (And seriously don’t be scared of this ride! It’s so fun!) The loading platform is a moving platform and the cars and platform move in sync with each other, it doesn’t stop for anything except safety/emergencies. This is how they are able to get through so many people so quickly, I want to say it’s like 2,000 people per hour or just under which is FANTASTIC for a ride/roller coaster! The typical ride serves only a few hundred people per hour at best! Velocicoaster is like a thousand or so per hour from what I was reading. So don’t think that they’re moving slow just because of the wait! It’s just THAT popular!

I love the theming of this ride and can’t wait for the forbidden forest to be more mature! It’s awesome! I love all of the Easter eggs all throughout the queue!!

This isn’t your traditional roller coaster! Don’t be scared of this ride thinking it’s a scary roller coaster! It’s more like a themed ride more than anything!

There are FREE LOCKERS outside of this ride on either side of the entrance. You MUST put ALL loose articles such as water bottles, bags, hats in the lockers before riding, you can keep your phone, you can put your hat in your shirt if you’re in the sidecar, if you’re on the motorbike you have to put it around your wrist, if you can’t then you won’t be riding right away & they’ll take you off quickly & close the lap bars empty because otherwise the loading zone will stop & can cause the ride to stop. Please DO NOT get upset at the employees over this. They’re just trying to do their jobs keeping you & everyone else safe & keeping the ride moving, there’s so many cars on this ride that one stopped in the loading zone for any amount of time can cause the entire thing to shut down. I mention this because it was so frustrating to see this exact problem unfold and the people getting mad at the workers over it. They try to stop you at the entrance if you have something you can’t bring on but they can easily get overwhelmed and miss it.

TIPS: Try the demo bike/sidecar at the left of the entrance!

“How much longer?” If you just got in the building, you’re about maybe half way to the front, if you’re in the long side hallway shaped room with Hagrid’s egg collection, you’re roughly halfway there, if you’re in the room in between the tunnels you’re very close, once you’re in the room with the animated ceiling you’re about to get on the ride. Make up your mind now if you’re on the motorbike or sidecar & once they ask how many make sure the motorbike person is in front of the sidecar person. You will load in this order.

EXPRESS: There is no express line on this ride. If you were given a special return ticket/pass, there are special instructions on what to do, or ask the front entrance attendants.

SINGLE RIDERS: this queue SUCKS! It’s all outside and doesn’t have any air conditioning like at all. You’re better off using the normal line! At least it has air conditioning. Please do NOT use this line if you aren’t a single rider. You will NOT get to the ride faster as everyone is prepared in their party of two people per row/perfectly even numbers. Therefore they hardly ever pull from the single rider queue! I timed it and it took LONGER to use the single rider queue than it did to take the standard queue, mainly because GROUPS of people were taking up the queue. So please don’t ruin it for the rest of us!

UNIVERSAL PLEASE fix the air conditioning in the queue, it’s SO HOT in there. They must’ve reused the air from the old dueling dragons queue...

Unfortunately, there isn't an optimal time to ride unless you're an early park admission guest who sprints directly to this attraction. The popularity of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ensures consistent demand throughout the day.

If you're dressed in Hogwarts attire, note that you'll need to ride in the sidecar. Riding on the motorbike itself is not possible while wearing a robe.

Before joining the line, secure your belongings. Either use a locker or entrust them to a non-rider accompanying you. Also, ensure you meet the height criteria before waiting in line. The test seat is available for a pre-ride check, ensuring a safe experience.

This ride is an immaculate ride overall from the speed to the amount of scenery they have in order to make an adventure.

Here are some tips and warnings you need to know to before riding:

Make sure to go into the testing seats before you ride

If you aren’t able to fit, don’t ride. It will waste your time if you get escorted

Decide if you want to go in single riders or the regular line.

In this ride, the express lane doesn’t take you all the way into the front of the line so prepare to wait for around 15 minutes before actually riding.

My preference is that if the line outside in the single riders, then you should go in the regular line. Usually that long of a line in singles would be around an hour wait.

Choose the motorcycle if it is available to you. (recommendation)

Choosing the motorcycle can make your experience a lot better because it makes your ride feel immersive to make you feel like you are riding a motorcycle.

Make sure to also ride the side car to see what is your preference for the ride.

Check the height and safety requirements.

If you have any kind of disease or syndrome that can affect your health when you ride rollercoasters, don’t ride.

If you are under 48 inches, you cannot ride. Take your children under the height requirement into the family room while you ride.

Make sure you are ready to wait pretty long.

Usually, the ride is going to be around an hour wait or above so if you don’t like waiting, you shouldn’t go on the ride
