I recently dined at a fantastic restaurant in Universal Studios that offers a full meal experience, much like the fast food spots around the park, but with a significantly elevated dining experience. It’s the perfect spot for those who want to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal without sacrificing the convenience of quick service.
The restaurant offers a variety of options, catering to all tastes and preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty burger, fresh salads, or even a classic pasta dish, this spot has something for everyone. I was particularly impressed by the selection of international-inspired meals, which made it feel like there was something new to try with every visit. The food was not only fresh but also flavorful, prepared with high-quality ingredients that stood out from the typical theme park dining.
The atmosphere was another highlight. While still fast-casual, the ambiance was much more inviting and comfortable compared to typical food stalls. With spacious seating, clean surroundings, and a laid-back vibe, it was a great place to relax and recharge between rides and attractions. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the dining area had plenty of seating to accommodate larger crowds, making it an excellent choice for families or groups.
What stood out the most, however, was the variety of food options. From savory entrees to delicious sides and desserts, there was no shortage of great choices. Whether you’re a picky eater or a food enthusiast, the menu is diverse enough to please everyone in your party.
In conclusion, this Universal Studios restaurant provides the perfect balance of quick service and full meal offerings. It’s a great spot to refuel, offering a wide range of delicious dishes in a comfortable and welcoming setting. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal while enjoying the park, this place is definitely...
Read moreOne of our goals is to eat at every theme park restaurant so it was time for Confisco. We arrived a bit early and asked if we could check-in. The host stated “We are only taking people at their reservation time” - usually this is not a problem. But I looked in the restaurant and there were only about 10 tables seated. We checked in at 6:00 PM. There were five of us. We were seated in a corner at a table for four with a chair on the end. When Don the waiter arrived he saw the issue and moved us to a round table where we were comfortable. Thanks to Don!
Food we had: We started with the Nacho appetizer - it was very good. BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avocado)- I was impressed with this sandwich. The focaccia bread was soft and did not overpower the taste of the sandwich Vodka Pasta with Sausage - the pasta and sauce were good. The vodka was not overpowering. There were only four slices of sausage in the dish. If you don’t like salty have them leave out the olives. Pad Thai - recommended by the waiter. We’ve all eaten a lot of Pad Thai so we were disappointed that the waiter recommended it and it was okay at best. The sauce was sweet - we’ve had better sauce out of a box.
The atmosphere is nice. It’s a little bit Spanish feeling with the terracotta tiles. And the air conditioning is on-point on a hot day.
I’m not sure the host staff was well-trained. As I mentioned, the guy outside was not rude but not pleasant. The staff inside seemed to now know where tables were at when seating you and it was taking two of them to figure out where to seat people in a restaurant where there were less than 10 parties seated.
I did not take a pic of the menu, but what’s posted online is not up to date. Be sure to check out their online menu.
If it had not been for our waiter Don it would have been an average...
Read moreFor a dine-in at a park, I guess it good. It you are looking for a new set of flavors to transport you pallet, this is the place. It just wast for us parents. The Trader Wings were some of the best wings I’ve had. We ordered traditional wings and the were very tender and juicy with a nice light crisp on the outside. The kids burger was amazing with a nice grill flavor. My other child vacuumed up the grilled cheese. Fries were good too. I wish they would have asked us for what side they wanted so I could have just gotten the sliced oranges. Was charged extra for that. The first batch was about 11 slices and the next batch was like 5. We also ordered a Blackberry Breeze and it had way too much lime in it. It was very bitter. Must be a new bar tender. The Sweet and Sour Sticky Ribs were really amazing at first. I guess I was really hungry. It’s fused with grits at the bottom of it. I thought it was mashed potatoes. After a while though, the ribs started making me feel queasy. I think it was because the sweet and sour with the grits started to get to me. Next was the Grilled Roasted Corvina Fillet. The fish was very tender and that was about it. It had too much of a fusion of flavors not deciding what it wanted to be. The bottom looked like a very pour version of risotto. We closed out with a Crème Brûlée. What we ate was not that. The flan or cream was very hard. Like sat out for a while. The brûlée was over scorched. It had the bitter aftertaste of badly burnt sugar. Oh, and it was filled with liquid like it separated from the cream. Other than that, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing and there was hardly anyone there. I’m just surprised the service was...
