Flew economy from London to Orlando, 9hr flight. The service during the flight was below par and the lack of food to purchase on the flight was concerning considering the duration of the flight. The first meal was offered around 2 hours into the flight. An option between tomato pasta(?) and Sausage and mash which I had and really enjoyed. However, nowhere near enough food for an adult. 1 sausage and 4 heaped tablespoons of cabbage and mash potato? Small block of cheese and 2 crackers also, was still hungry afterwards. Around the 4 hour mark I asked staff what I could purchase in the mean time as I was so hungry and I was told Pringles, Haribo or Maltesers. I was told there were no hot or sandwich options which I find puzzling. I asked for the Pringles to then be told they weren’t available. I very reluctantly decided to wait. I made sure to put on my screen “wake for meal” as I wanted to get some rest. I woke up to the two passengers next to me finishing their second “meals”. Then when I asked if I could have mine, I was told to wait another 5 minutes whilst staff cleared up after the other passengers. The second meal, if you can even call it that was offered around 2 hours before we landed. 2 quarters of a sandwich and a small scone. Quantity was pathetic granted the 1st meal was 5 hours prior. Really disappointed in the service.

MCO to London Heathrow. Economy seats just about okay until the person in front of you reclines their seat - once they have, you have no room and it is extremely claustrophobic for a long haul flight - planes should get rid of this reclining option - there’s no need for it. Someone was obviously sick from the previous flight and a very poor job was done in cleaning it up. My wife and I had to sit either side of the aisle which stunk of vomit 🤢. I found the SMS and/or electronic comms poor and not a patch on the up to date info I have had from Jet2 on a cheap European holiday. Airline staff are mediocre - nothing special. There were a couple of young lady stewards which wouldn’t have been out of place behind the bar of an east end pub! I don’t need to called “darling” or “love” every time they come round. They constantly run out of food and so people end up with a vegetarian option - so easy to fix this with an electronic sms Q&A the day before the flight! Entertainment good and the on screen flight info and maps really good. Would fly again with Virgin but would try to sit nearer the front and upgrade our seats.

I can’t say enough great things about this Virgin Atlantic experience. From baggage and ticketing to the gate agents, pilots and crew. Everyone was polite and kind. Very accommodating for guest with special needs and first time flyers. The plane was a little on the older side and the seats weren’t as comfortable as I’d like, but all things considered. Great Flight. 5 stars for the staff! 3 stars for the plane!

Without doubt the best airline to travel to the States with. Not only are they the best dressed airline- think Pan Am girls- they are well staffed on every flight. The products they serve onboard are tasty. The drinks are free. The entertainment is top notched movies. A nine hour flight goes quickly when you watch a couple of current movies and a couple of favorites. I watched the stewards and stewardesses work like trojans the whole flight. They made it look easy. My particular flight had fifty wheelchair bound passengers that were made to feel very special guests. Excellent service throughout the flight and I can only suggest that anyone thinking of which airline to go with should look no further than...
