Camera Casino — Attraction in Oshkosh

I am very much an amateur when it comes to photography, so I honestly had a little anxiety about going into a specialty store like this, but Andy instantly made my anxiety go away. He asked me if I needed help right away, and I definitely did!

I was looking to rent a lens to compare to one I had recently bought somewhere else, which he also looked at and answered some questions I had about it. The rental prices are very reasonable, and they have a nice inventory to choose from.

After getting the rental squared away, I had more questions about my camera, other cameras, and printing services. Andy was able to answer every question, never seemed annoyed with me, and even showed me some of the different printings they are capable of, all very cool stuff! I will definitely be trying some of the different prints they can do.

On my way to grab my stuff, I met Wayne, who was also super friendly. He showed me around to some of the different accessories they carry in the store, and explained so much about all of the different options and uses, different brands materials and features, price points, and his personal preferences and experiences. So much great information from someone who is clearly an expert in his field. I will definitely be picking up a Peak cross body sling on Monday when I return my rental lens, thanks to Wayne.

All of that to say, Camera Casino is great, I am very glad to have stopped in, and I look forward to stopping in again soon!

This store is the place to go for all of your digital photography needs in Oshkosh and the Fox Valley. While you can find some cameras and lenses at big box stores or online, this is the place to go if you actually want to see how the lens works and actually use it. Their prices are very competitive, plus being able to try it before you buy it is a big plus!

When I came to purchase a new lens for my Rebel, I was able to attach the lens to my camera and walk around the store to take a few different shots to make sure it would do what I wanted. The reps that helped me were great and explained the differences between the lenses, including the sound difference important for shooting video, something I hadn't thought about.

There was no pressure, it felt like friends with the same hobby offering advice to each other. This store has so much to offer, including photo printing, posters, accessories and backpacks!

They let me know that they do offer lens rental as well, which I hope to take advantage of for one of my upcoming trips to Door County. A true try before you buy!

I recently stopped in to browse their selection of equipment as I had a general idea of what I wanted, as well as prices of competitors. Their website doesn't give much insight into their inventory, so potential buyers need to stop in. That in itself isn't inherently problematic, but the rest of my experience certainly only got worse. As I was browsing the selection, a gentleman approached me and began explaining what they had. It seemed like a kind gesture. However, after he stopped talking, he continued to hover around me which felt fairly intrusive. He then began to talk again and asked me a lot of questions in what likely was an attempt to upload me. Again, I really did not have any personal space at this point and it was extremely uncomfortable. I came in having done my research and knew what I wanted. I realized quickly they did not have what I was looking for, which is certainly not to their fault. Had I been allowed to browse in peace, I would have no issues.
