On Saturday June 1,2024 we went into store to possibly purchase some items as we did several times in the store since it was open. I had a man named Neil, that waited on me and was very nice. In the middle of Neil, helping me a manager came up and interrupted him and told him that he had to do something else. Neil said politely he was helping a customer. Manager Was very inappropriate with Neil and told him that he didn’t care that he would do whatever the manager said and The Manager walked away, using Very inappropriate words that as a manager should not be using in front of staff and customers . I could not believe after you using the restroom several times there it was very unsanitary and dirty. I also mentioned that to the manager and he said things that should not be said to a customer that’s been there and purchasing items. I have never been so disappointed about my experience at the Ottawa bargain warehouse as I did this weekend. I hope you guys can fix the problem because I have several family members and friends that do come in there and purchase items. Until the problem gets resolved, I will not be going there, I will be letting family and friends know about that manager and how disrespectful he is In front Of employees...
Read moreThe prices are discounted but not by as much as they say. The prices are discounted by the absolute highest price you can find on the market. Then they can justify "50% off" So a love seat is about 6-700$ then a couch is about 8-900$. These aren't your soft ones they're more less the stiff ones. To each their own though no big deal. They are also not fond of kids unless the employee is 30 or under. Haha there was a lady who was arrogant towards my family and I because I didn't snatch my kids off a couch like a crazy. (They're 2&3) Although she didn't use any profanities it's the tone she took with my kids. I'm the Adult here trying to spend 2-3k in your store so please take your additude up with me I can manage those little bastards. (Any real parent knows that's a joke). If my kids break your stuff I'll happily pay for it. I'm not broke and am just shopping for a couch haha. Hope this helps! They do have good buys though just not on appliances or couches. If you're good with a 20% off, that's what it really is. And not the big store warranty this is the place to go. Only 2 stars because I don't take kindly to people being arrogant to kids in general. It was really just one person but it's a...
Read moreI used to stop here frequently. They have a lot of items. Ive learned that most are damaged. A lot of things aren't priced, so you have to ask. I saw an employee pushing dryers still in the box with the forks of a forklift. Which could damage the contents inside. When I told the woman who always sits up front, she said "okay." When I explained that he was pushing them with the forks and there is only styrafoam to protect the appliance, she rudely said "we are a scratch and dent facility." I was dumbfounded that she didn't care if they were selling damaged dryers in the box to customers. She then said "you can talk to Paul. He's the manager." And gestured to two men talking a few feet away. I was trying to save them from damaging their own merchandise and the headaches of upset customers, but this woman obviously doesnt care. Buyer beware. I would not recommend buying appliances here. My parents bought luxury vinyl flooring from them. 6 months later it buckled and cracked. The store said their were no guarantees and told them they'd have to pay the manufacturer to come out and look at it. So they are out $400 for defective flooring. Stay away...
