Sunfield Restaurant — Restaurant in Ottawa

Go out to brunch with my gramma every week and we finally hit Sunfield after discussing it for a week or two. We got seated and were immediately rushed to try to order, which I expect more times than not eating out, so we decided and ordered. We began our wait and after a whilenwe realized it was taking sooo long, but it's not fast food I tried staying optimistic and patient. I peakcaround just trying to pass time, and i look at our salt and notice a faint black spec in the salt. I shook the shaker a bit and to my surprise there was an ant incthe shaker with the salt. I took it to the manager at the counter and all she did was dump what salt had touched the ant put and gave us the SAME SHAKER. I put it past me, whatever. We got our food and stsrt eating. Ajd I get about halfway through my food and all of a sudden I feel a hair in my mouth with my bite. I takenitnout and it was an EYELASH THAT WAS IN MY FOOD AFTER THEY GAVE US SALT THAT AN ANT WAS IN. After everything was brought to their attention they all hid in the back for 45 minutes while I waited tocbe able to get my bill and leave. I justxwanted to get out of there at that point. I was so upset and so nauseous because I had to deal with this for close to an hour. After condescending me and wasting my time thenmanager had the audacity to say she's giving us a discount for 3 lousy dollars off a 35 dollar bill. This restaurant is a joke and doesn't respect their restaurant or customers enough to clean their eating space, cooking space, and take care ofnthe customers they clearly wronged and disgusted. "My first visit to Sunfield Restaurant left me thoroughly impressed! The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere that made for a pleasant dining experience right from the start. Our waiter, Bethany, was an absolute delight. She was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, always had a smile, and provided excellent recommendations when we had questions about the menu. Her friendly service truly enhanced our meal. As for the food, everything I ordered was simply delicious. The chicken noodle soup was the perfect starter – clearly homemade, with a rich broth and tender chicken, it felt like comfort in a bowl. The spaghetti was another highlight; the sauce was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the pasta was cooked just right. Of course, no spaghetti meal is complete without garlic bread, and Sunfield's didn't disappoint – it was perfectly toasted and buttery. Even the simple order of fries I added on the side was noteworthy – they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, exactly how fries should be. Considering this was my first time dining at Sunfield Restaurant, I can confidently say it won't be my last. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the exceptional service we received from Bethany made the experience even more enjoyable. The parking was very plentiful and had several handicap accessible spots. They were very good at accommodating groups of all sizes and types as quickly as possible. The prices were in line with most places along the interstate but the quality of the food was a bit better than most family restaurants. We ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch. The food was served fresh and hot. The breakfast offerings were a mix of average choices and a little more upscale. With the sandwiches you get a bowl of soup, today's offering was a cream of chicken with rice, it was very creamy and flavorful. The bruschetta would have been better had the bread been a little more toasted but it was tasty. The french toast flight was very unique and delicious it was one piece of traditional, one piece banana nut bread and the third piece was made out of a cinnamon roll it was enjoyed with a little warm syrup. The pattymelt was very good it, was toasty and full of flavor. The service was very our server was very attentive and kept our beverages full. They brought us a bread basket but the bread plates were dirty when we turned them over, they were replaced right...
