It's a nice park with rich history! The fountain is beautiful with Lincoln and Douglas statues as the focal point as this was the first site for their debates while campaigning for presidency. It is in a great location with lots of other historical places to learn about nearby. Great places to eat and shops within walking distance. It's a beautiful backdrop for family and formal event photos due to all the well-kept flower gardens and memorials. In the summer months, it is the place to be with parades and music in the park, a popcorn wagon (that never seems to be open for business, unless you are lucky). Summer weekend mornings, you will find the farmer's market and flea markets on this block. There is ample parking, but no public rest rooms.
