I just took my son in so that we could check it out & see if it would work for his birthday party. The selection of retro games & toys was impressive. It's a fun store to look around in. My issue was with the staff. We finished looking around and started asking how it would work for a party. The guy seemed like we were putting him out by having to answer our questions. We asked about the consoles and if we could "rent" or bring games from home or even buy games to play in the back, he responded with, "Whatever is back there.". I wrapped it up because he wasn't a people person & started walking in the back to see what games they had and heard, "Hey! I thought I just told you, you have to pay to go back there!". It wasn't nice, it was unprofessional, and just plain rude. If there is someone like that working I'm not going to bring my son and his friends around there. Secondly, and not a big deal just a heads up. I went in a few years ago and brought in a bunch of collector's edition & limited release games to sell. Games from Limited Run, Special Reserve, Super Rare, etc. Each game was selling for ~$100 each. I'd figured the stack would sell between $800-$1,000 based on what they were selling for & for the 15 games I had. I was offered under $100. I thought GameStop was bad for selling games! These were all numbered, sealed, perfect condition. So, just be careful with selling here. I really, really wanted to chalk the first bad experience up to bad luck & give it another try. All of my friends, my wife, son, and I collect and play all kinds of games. I thought it would be perfect for a birthday party and even something to go and do over the summer. I just can't believe the attitude and demeanor of the guy that was working today. I gave 2 stars because they do have a great selection & I'm sure some people might be okay with someone being a complete nightmare to deal with when you're looking for something that is hard to find. I just can't imagine taking my, or anyone else's, kids in where someone like that works & speaks...
Read moreIt's a small place but, if you need a place to table top game then you can do that here. They also have board games available for you to play. They also have a vintage arcade section that also has pinball machines, Contra, and a TV set up with a 64 and a game to play. It only costs $6 per person and once you pay you get access to the table area and the arcade and everything is set up so it's free, no quarters/tokens needed. Sometimes some of the games don't work but, again they are all super old so it's to be expected. Also they have new&used game to buy and I believe they do traid-ins. Along with video games & systems they sell cards like Pokemon, a few figurines, and frisbee golf stuff too. I don't think a kid would like this place or appreciate it as much as an adult who games or at least used to game. The games are pretty old and the are 8bit soooooooooo yeah but, I have seen kids in here so for $6 it isn't to expensive to give it a shot as long as you're not trying to pay for a bunch of children like for a party or something. Then it would be a waist if none of the kids were interested. Buuuuuuuut I'm 36 and I went with my boyfriend and a friend and we had a blast, we where there for 5hours and still didn't want to leave but, we were hungry 😢. I love this place and will...
Read moreAmazingly nice staff, great value, fantastic prices, and great supply. The main employee who works there is super kind and smart when it comes to even the smallest of things. I find myself driving more than an hour to Ottawa just to visit this shop. It's a must stop, in my opinion. Edit: if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Went there recently looking for vehicle magic cards. The employee that was working there took time out of his day to assist me in looking. The ONLY worker there taking time out of his incredible busy day to find a piece of cardboard for a stupid teenager (me), shows how perfect this place is. From video games, to consoles, to trading cards of multiple types, and all the must need gaming accessories, you can find what you're looking for at O-Nett Gaming Co. One thing I should probably say just as a little warning is that they don't have a lot of modern Yu-Gi-Oh singles. Which is fine, just don't expect so much in terms of modern...
