did you guess right? 😅 📍Cathedral Wash Trail 🥾3.3 miles out and back 📈387 ft elevation located near Page, Arizona, in the Glen Canyon Recreation Area, this slot canyon hike is one of a kind! there is no “real” trail, so you’ll have to navigate your way down the canyon. you’ll encounter a few scrambles, but they are short, simple and very manageable. eventually you’ll end up at the Colorado River where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views, take a refreshing dip 🥶, and if you’re lucky, see a few rafters float by. 🎟️there is a $30 fee to enter the Glen Canyon Recreation Area. you can also use your National Park pass. 🚫no toilets at the trailhead 🚫pack out your trash 🚫do not carve into canyon walls 🚫check forecast before hiking in a slot canyon as flash flooding can occur 🐶not dog friendly who’s down to go? #glencanyon #explorearizona #hikeaztrails #discoverarizona #iloveaz #pagearizona #nationalparks #slotcanyon #arizonahikersguide #seearizona #hikemore #getoutside

Glen Canyon was named by John Wesley Powell because of the long canyon formed by Colorado River with many off-shooting glens🌄 Details of our trip: 🏨We stayed at the Wahweap thru @visitlakepowell 🚤The boat rental was from @visitlakepowell at Wahweap Marina 🍽We ate at the Rainbow Room at Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas 🚙4.5 hour drive from Phoenix. We left after work and got to our hotel after dark 🎟The hotel, marina on Lake Powell, and raft tour is in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area so there is a fee to enter! Beautiful campgrounds! This is where the Lone Rock sits right across the river. White colored cliffs and mountains surround this place. Amazing sunset and sunrise! The mountains and sky reflect on the lake's blue water! Photo perfect! There's off-road activities. Watercrafts are allowed but inspection before entering. Lots of fire pits made by prior campers. White sand, fine as sugar and all kinds of river rocks along the beach areas. Kids can swim or play on the sand. I wish I...

On a kayak down the Colorado river is an absolute must to do when you re in the area. You can even find ancient petroglyphs on the mighty sandstone walls. The echoes are amazing aswell as the song of the canyon wrens who have sung here long before humans entered...

Glen Canyon is the gateway from southern Utah to northern Arizona. Do yourself a favor and head from Vegas through Zion and Bryce, and crossover through Glen and see Vermilion on your way to Grand Canyon.
