Recently moved here from VA. My wife and I found this store that's right down the street from our house. Decent prices and has exactly the things we need, including the fish sauce, thai sauces, and oyster sauce that my Thai wife regularly uses in our food.
We bought the Durian fruit that is in the freezer a couple weeks ago and was not good my wife said. There were two types of boxes. I thought okay might be this packaging and thought to let it go as my wife said it was still eatable.
The following week we came back (last weekend) and got our regular weekly groceries, and picked up the durian packaging the other kind.
We took it home and kept it frozen for a day and next day my wife took it out and let it thaw. Upon letting it thaw, and not too long either, my wife opened it and told me it's not good at all this time. It's like a banana that was squeezed so soggy inside.
I lost our receipt because it's a grocery store and never in my life have I had a problem returning perished foods at the grocery store. (Have even done that in Ashburn, VA at our local Lotte as well as it does happen sometimes). Sometimes a bad orange is okay in a full bag so we don't complain about things like this, but this one is a 20 dollar box of Durian.
The store was closed so could not return it. Next day (today), we went to the store with the durian box. We explained to the two women at the front desk and seemed reasonable. Then a manager women heard me out, asked me when I bought it, and at the end said cannot return frozen foods it's against store policy. Despite this being uneatable, there was no working with me to ensure I wasn't robbed of my 20 dollars, and getting a bad item. I don't know how they ran this business, and question a customer for 20 dollars. Despite this, I continued to explain, and said my phone number is in the system, they can check what I bought. They refused to look it up. I then noticed a camera above the front desk and said you can check the camera I was here and bought this exact box as the camera would show.
The manager women looked at me and said sorry it's store policy. Felt that was not nice, and felt demeaning for me to return and buy another item from this store. I genuinely told her I will not return to this store and will have to find another asian store...

Korean stores on this side of the U.S. are usually expensive but prices here are pretty up the roof! Nonetheless, They have a good selection of products that are really hard to find when you can't wait for something you could order online at a much better price.
This store is clean, generally well-organized, and they are attentive to the needs of the customer.

Read moreI visited the market with my kids today we were browsing for new snacks to try.The products are in good quality and quite tasty. The issue for me was the cashier a young male, was visibly annoyed and aggressive with me during the check out. I was sharing a basket with my mother so I decided to take my things out and place it on the counter thinking that it would be easier on him but he just wanted the basket to stay on the counter. I still separated my items as I was carrying my 1 year old daughter, I mistakenly placed an item on the counter and he grabbed it aggressively and stood it upright. I don’t know what was his issue but I felt very uncomfortable I’m not sure if it was the basket situation or that he was having a bad. Either way, I used go to the Pembroke Pines location and they were super friendly all the times. I feel discouraged to continue going to this location just because I don’t want to feel...
