I recently stayed at this hotel from January 2 - 10th of 2013. I got a queen non-smoking room which was clean and very comfortable. It included a large bathroom, iron, coffee maker, hair dryer, flat screen TV, and plenty of space to fit clothes and belongings in the large dresser and two night stands. It also had a decently sized closet to hang clothes and a sink area with a large mirror.
The second night of my stay, I came back to my hotel room from a night out and my room smelled like cigarette smoke. It was coming from the fan in the bathroom, which was connected to other non-smoking rooms. It seems that someone was smoking when they shouldn't have been, and I called the hotel staff to come and verify what I was smelling.
In dealing with this issue, the staff as well as the manager were very accommadating and offered an upgrade to a larger room free of charge for the remainder of my stay. I accepted and continued my stay, and they even helped transfer things from my old room to my new one.
Breakfast consisted of powered eggs, and alternated days with bacon or sausages. Every day they offered cereal, yogurt, a wide variety of bagels and cream cheese, muffins, milk, skim milk, orange juice, coffee and tea. I was quite happy with the free provided breakfast considering the low price I was paying for my stay in such a location. This hotel also had a pool which I used at least 5 times during my 8 night stay at varying times of the day. Every single time I had the pool to myself and found it clean and comfortable.
Neighbooring the hotel was both a publix grocery store and a CVS pharmacy which was so great to have just a walk away. A few blocks away was a large mall, and down the street in front of the hotel were other stores I needed which included a Best Buy, a Target and more. The Zoo was 7 minutes away by car, and the tropical botanical garden which was amazing was relatively close by as well. I could not have asked for a better location.
The thing that will keep me coming back to this hotel in the future is the location and the service I encountered during my stay. Everyone was helpful, considerate and kind, notably one of the sweetest guys I've ever met by the name of Kevin and also the awesome manager Randal who brought his dog Meha to work every day. I am planning to stay there again next summer due to my experience at this hotel. I definitely...
Read moreWe had our home tented and chose to stay at the quality inn because it was closest to work and home. What a mistake! I feel bad leaving this review because some of the front desk staff were very professional and friendly. However, some staff were really rude. My biggest issues was the fact that this hotel has the audacity to charge 130/night but cannot provide guests with a clean pair of sheets if they are needed in the evening. Absolutely absurd! People have kids, accidents can happen, and it’s a pet friendly hotel. So, how do you not have clean bedding for your guests? If you have kids and something happens, just forget having a clean place to sleep that night. And I use clean very loosely. The place was just half decent on the cleanliness factor. For the price, it was totally unacceptable. We had a spill on the bed at 7PM. We called to get some fresh sheets and were told that was not possible until the cleaning staff returns in the morning! Whoever is running that place should have enough common sense to at least have some extra bedding for guests. The next day I called in the morning for the sheets and was given a huge attitude from the staff about it. It’s not like I was asking for something outrageous. The walls are paper thin, the cleaning staff gives you attitude if you ask for anything , and something in that hotel is not right. I have a massive sinus infection after staying there. I think their AC units must be filthy. I’m still trying to recover from breathing in whatever is growing in that place and have really bad sinus pain. The other thing is the ridiculous price! 130 plus tax for a motel posing as a hotel?? You can get a resort ten minutes away from Disney with 24hr room service, spotless rooms, arcade , pool with a bar, the works! These people are out of their minds. “Quality” Inn needs to up their level of quality. No one expects much from that type of chain but the bare minimum is cleanliness, a decent price, and freaking bedding! How are they surviving in a place like...
Read moreHere for Thanksgiving with our Grandmother. The hotel is NOT at The Falls. This location is outdoors and uses stairs- important to know for those needing an elevator. The staff smiled when we entered. Sandra helped check us in. She was very courteous. The lobby is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Before we got to our room, maintenance arrived to bring our microwave. Once we entered, I instantly inspected the room, as advised. Room is very small and appeared cleaned- closer inspection shows some flaws (dust, water stains on ceiling, hair). No bed bugs or roaches or ants noticed. Will check again in the evening for bugs. Hurricane damage noticed on the roof (tarp shown in photo). Beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is running nicely. Bathroom is very small and the lighting is not very bright. TV and channels are working great, wifi is working great, too. Haven't eaten breakfast, but will update tomorrow. So far everything seems typical of a motel/hotel. UPDATE: Everyone was nice and warm. The pool was amazing and the hotel is in a prime area. Housekeeping comes in daily so your beds are made, towels are fresh, and trash is emptied- and they're very sweet. Breakfast was the typical coffee, meat, juice, and breads- but the breakfast area was lovely. Washer and dryer located outside and downstairs only. No workout room. Hotel is located near The Falls, restaurants, and stores. Smell of mold is probably coming from the hurricane damage on the roof. Sound of traffic can be heard day and night so keep gentle music playing when falling asleep. Hotel was very pricy for a small Inn, but I'm hoping it was only because we came during the Thanksgiving holiday. Would stay again....
