Palmetto Bay Park is the recreational hub for the City of Palmetto Park. On February 5, 2002, the community voted in favor of incorporation. Voters approved the municipal charter and the name on September 10, 2002 and the Village of Palmetto Bay became Miami-Dade's 33rd municipality. Shortly after the formerly 5 acre Perrine Park was transformed into a 25 acre passive and active recreational resource for the newly incorporated town. In 2006 the City Council changed the name to Palmetto Bay Park.

Today Palmetto Bay Park is a multi-recreational facility. Outstanding features of the park include an community center, an expansive greenspace, walking paths, picnic gazebos, skatepark, basketball courts, the largest covered Boundless Playgrounds in South Florida, and a six-field, state-of-the-art softball complex with batting cages. The city isn't done yet. They are adding a pickleball court and making cosmetic improvements to the park.

Whether you visit the park for a basketball game, to enjoy a picnic, unleash the kids on the completely fenced in playground, or to take a family stroll beneath the trees, Palmetto Bay Park has something for everyone to enjoy be it an active day outdoors or a peaceful retreat in nature, So, pack your picnic basket, lace up your sneakers, and immerse yourself in the serene splendor of Palmetto Bay Park. It is a true gem nestled within the heart of...

Rented the indoor recreation room for a baby shower. The space was clean and cool-tables were already set up and plenty of chairs were available to be unfolded. They give you an hour before to set up and staff is very helpful with taking out trash and asked several times if we needed help with anything. It was a perfect space for our event and a few guests were impressed enough to get information for their own future events. The only setback was that people came in several times to use the restroom. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or if that is standard...but I didnt like that. The park being close meant the kids were entertained the entire time so we had no bored kids asking "when can we go home" lol. Will definitely consider this for our next party. The park and skate park are beautifully kept, with plenty to do and...

One of the highlights of the park is the book exchange, which adds a charming touch and encourages a sense of community. It's a joy to browse through the selection and discover new reads.

Additionally, Palmetto Bay Park is a fabulous venue for parties and gatherings. The spacious grounds and scenic surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for any celebration.

Overall, Palmetto Bay Park earns a well-deserved five-star rating. It's a haven for relaxation, recreation, and...

It's a good park! Have gone many times with the kids. This is to review mainly the Skatepark part of it. The Skatepark is OK! Many things for Beginners. We do Rollerblading and the kids have fun. Improve would be adding a Bowl to it and expanding it more. Also renewing some of the things that are getting old. Otherwise we would go much more, but we instead go farther, even though this park is closer to us. We often go Downtown for Skating. Last, hey don't open in the morning, at 4pm, which is really late.
