SUBKING – King of Subs — Restaurant in Palmetto Bay

I've been waiting patiently to give SUB KING a 0 review. My daughter walked in this restaurant, one day to pick up food. Immediately the owner looked at her, and offered her work. My daughter excited said yes to only, endure the sickness of individuals working here. The manager told My daughter she "NEEDED TO FLIRT TO BRING IN MORE CUSTOMERS!" which is disturbing. She didn't tell me till a few weeks. I called the manager and, of course he denied saying such a thing. Only to turn around and talk about the owner, in a very bad way. Things very disturbing he had on the owner, of Sub King of women, working or that had worked there. The manager trying to save himself for sent, my daughter screen shots of the owner behind my daughter in the morning shift. When my daughter got there he said the owner, was stalking her to be careful but, this is the same manager that told my daughter to flirt to bring more customers. They both are sick! I sat down with the owner and, spoke to him about everything. And his only and main concern was he didn't have, another cook and his business needed to go on. As a mother and anyone that's a parent, that person would've been fired on the spot. The owner knows about some of this managers past and, spoke bad about him as well to me. Which clearly indicates they are both the same. I wouldn't recommend any girl, women to step foot in this place. Any women that walk inside that has a body, or looks alluring he Immediately asked them if they want to work. My daughter took a friend in the beginning that, is African American chubby and he told her, he didn't need anyone to work. A few days later a girl walked in with a tennis outfit on and asked her to work. It's beyond disturbing how a women is a piece of meat in his eyes. There's so much more I can write here, but it's disturbing to even put it on here. Very unprofessional, disturbing and disrespectful. Really REALLY wanted to like this place but...I ordered grilled chicken on a spinach wrap with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, onions and cheese. I got there to pick it up and they were like 'Oops she's here to pick it up...hurry up'- waited another 10 min (was in a bit of a hurry that's why I pre-ordered) while watching them talk on speaker on the phone....LOUDLY. Finally got my order and left. When I opened the wrapper, not a spinach wrap, no mushrooms, no peppers or onions and barely any cheese and the chicken tasted so awfully dry and like pure garlic powder! 🤢I called them and asked them if they may have given me the wrong order, he said no, they are out of spinach wrap(should have told me while I was patiently waiting), and that all that was ordered was on the sandwich, I told him unfortunately no, he answered 'thank you for letting us know' and hung up 😎🥴I ended up throwing it away and tasting garlic for the remainder of the day! Stuff like this will bury a business, but then if they are too busy on the speaker phone to take care of customers' orders, then they are definitely not ready to operate a business. First...

I recently discovered Subking in my neighborhood, and I couldn't be happier. This place is a gem! The establishment is impeccably clean, and you can tell the owner Alva and his staff take pride in maintaining it. The chicken teriyaki & Philly Cheese Steak subs I tried were bursting with flavor, the bread is always soft and fluffy, making every bite a delight.

What sets Subking apart is their generous protein portion sizes. Unlike the competition Substantial Subs, which has sadly gone downhill in terms of cleanliness, portion sizes, and price point. Subking delivers quality and consistency. Ever since Substantial Subs changed ownership, their standards have dropped, but Subking has filled the void perfectly.

I'm thrilled to have found a new sub shop in my neighborhood that runs as clean and organized as Subking. Highly recommend...
