Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, 09/21/24. We walked across the street and entered the garden through one of the side entrances (unchained) where thereโs a parking lot. My partner and I had not seen any signage at this point that there was a private event occurring. We even walked past 3 staff members that didnโt say anything to us. It looked like they were taking down tables AFTER an event, so we didnโt think anything of it. Unfortunately, we were met by a very rude young man that told us we were disrespectful for entering, even though we didnโt see any signage in the entrance we took. An older woman told us that only one side was open, which we understood and were thankful that she showed us. However, the male staff member who probably worked for the catering company was completely and unreasonably rude.
So hereโs a tip: if youโre having an event here, maybe make sure that all entrances are secured and state so. A large sandwich board would be useful, considering there werenโt any signs of any event happening. Weโve been to really nice botanical gardens that have had events while we were visiting. They had numerous large signs posted telling people so. At no point were they rude, like the staff at this garden.
Also, for such a small garden you would think the plants would be better maintained. We were not impressed and wonโt be coming back from the experience we had with...

Having grown up in Palo Alto, I was surprised to know that we had a Pacific arts League and now I'm embarrassed that I didn't take advantage of it Sooner. BeBe did a demonstration and then led us out to the garden where we had tables set up for each registered group. They had volunteers from the art league helping each table and gathering additional flowers, petals, stamens, and leaves. They were very gracious with their assistance and time. Our table each made three or four papers /cards using the paper that we created with the wonderful flowers from Gamble Gardens. If you have an opportunity to join this pop-up event in the future, I highly recommend it. If you have time to just stroll through the garden I would recommend spending a few minutes. It's a...
ย ย ย Read moreI was looking online about this garden. Honestly, I thought that itโs going to be very big based on the map, but itโs just a medium-sized garden with a house. I think that this garden has been here for decades and workers took very care of that garden.
There werenโt many people visiting this garden probably because I came here on Monday, but there were pretty nice gardens and flowers to look at. It also has a green house and a two-story house I believe. Idk if anyone lives inside that house with a garden, but probably the Gamble family has been living there for a while. Otherwise, itโs most likely an office, museum, or used for something else like a preservation.
I wanted to stop by here since I like going to gardens and taking pictures of plants and nature. Honestly, there wasnโt really much here since the garden isnโt really big, but itโs still a nice...
