Both of my kiddos cosplay for different groups, Halloween, or just for Comic Cons... and thrift stores are a HUGE and irreplaceable part of that. I don't understand how people are complaining about the prices here. The last costume we put together from this store cost a grand total of $30. It included pants, shirt, vest, belt, messenger bag, and a really cool old backgammon game in this awesome brief case... meaning an average if $5/item. I would have spent at least $100 buying those things new AND wouldn't have found that backgammon game anywhere else.
This Goodwill is pretty big and has a very good selection. The majority of their merchandise looks like things in your closet or living room, not like they were fished out of a dumpster (like so many other thrift stores). They sometimes have new items as well. I even found a nice, comfy pair of brand new Jones of New York pants for work while I was waiting for my kiddos and they were just $4.... with the tags still on them! Lol
The staff is super, SUPER friendly and will cut you a deal if they can. It is always really clean and well organized. You can quickly find what you need or at least know if they don't have it. This is the best thrift store we have...
Read moreThis visit went well enough, but two prior I found a spectacular blanket with no price tag. No entreaty of mine could get them to price it. I came back three mornings in a row looking for it to be priced and back out, I kept getting told no one knew what I was talking about. On the last morning I actually asked and was walking back out when I came across the blanket being purchased, this after I asked at least 39 minutes prior and looked myself. I can only guess it was put out in that thirty minutes after I was told repeatedly it was no longer there. BTW, it was a very bright green, hard to miss. That was a month ago, and having been a frequent visitor before that episode kind if killed it fir me wanting to go back. I know most stores are Mills now and customer service is a dying dream, but I thought you should...
Read moreNot a great store but their dvd section is large & location is convenient. We’ve purchased lots of dvds here & usually have no problems with them but last weekend we got 2 that wouldn’t play so we took them back in today to exchange. The cashier said no problem but later informed us that the manager decided it had been too long since we purchased them & that it must be our DVD player that was the problem even though they do not check the used dvds before putting them on the shelf. We left the store & will no longer be giving them our business. We then went to Thomas Drive location & exchanged the defective dvds with no problems whatsoever. They were super nice. Dear Goodwill, turns out hiring a douchbag manager for this location is not so good for...
