Rural King — Attraction in Parkersburg

No stars! Rudeness at Rural King. I will never come in your store again.

Two young girls' working the CS booth yesterday made ignorant jeers about my daughter's appearance.

It took her most of the morning to dress herself and fix her hair extensions to cover the scars on her head. Her left arm is paralyzed but despite all her pain she got dressed. (She wanted to go get another pair of comfy scrub pants to wear for Thanksgiving Holiday at her grandma's house).

On our way to the car she slipped and fell in the mud. So we brushed her off and went anyways. It was important to her.

So I told management and I pointed out the two girls at the counter. I also reported this to corporate, because; I also noticed three other handicapped persons enter the store who needed assistance. (They looked like Veterans to me.) I think I felt that was important.

Today my daughter doesn't want to go anywhere there are people. She won't leave her room. Even after buying her outfit.

I really hope you two girls from Rural King see this post. I want you to know: when you look in the mirror and see your hair done just so (that you had use of both hands to fix it) or your make up on perfectly while wearing you hippest outfit and you step back from the mirror and say "wow I look great"....... Well You can wrap ugly in shiny paper and bright ribbons but underneath it's still just plain ugly. Beauty comes from within.

Beauty comes from within your soul which is the Godly part of a person that radiantly glows outward from a care loving individual's heart. I feel sorry for you both. You may be in tact on the outside, But.... You are so damage on the inside. Only God has the cure for that kind of ugliness.

Corporate did try to take care of this matter immediately, however; The manager locally called me back to say,(even after I stood in front of the counter and pointed them out to her)" the girls you pointed out said they didn't wait on you". If you call back we can discuss it further.

I specifically told her they were on the other side of the customer service booth making jeers at us while the older more mature women rang us up.

So obviously...

First time ever in the store, it's very nice on the outside but once we went inside first thing me and my boyfriend seen was the horrible mess. Only 1 register open and popcorn EVERYWHERE! it was disgusting and very disappointing. Not very many Christmas decor, everything was in the floor I couldn't get my buggy around anything without moving something out of the way. Was going to buy a crossbow there but their register was down and the guy had a line. The place was full of birds flying everywhere which is perfectly fine, I like walking passed the isles and seeing a few birds sitting in the floor , but the open bags of bird feed that was scattered everywhere was ridiculous, at least have someone come by and clean it up, there wasn't much customer service there, my boyfriend actually had to climb just to get something from the top shelf because nobody was around. just like with the restrooms, they smelled like cat urine the ladies bathroom was a nasty mess me and another sweet customer went in and we both snarled up our noses because of the smell , she told me if it wasnt for her happen to go so bad she wouldn't. The stall I went to had toilet paper all over the floor and some in the corner the had #2 on it. Like seriously!?? They had so many air fresheners that wasn't working too well and a metal rack that didn't have nothing on it. My boyfriend went to the men's and he told me it wasn't as bad, there was air fresheners too and also a metal rack that didn't have anything on it, why have it if you don't have nothing to put on it? We was planning on buying a good bit but the store was too depressing for anything, I do believe the neatest department was the clothes. So props to them!. But I know you can't blame the "holidays " on why the store...

i am so done with Parkersburg Rural King!! the first bad incident we had was when my boyfriend purchased a red dot sight for his pistol. it was in a case behind the counter and when he handed it to my boyfriend my boyfriend asked if they should open it and make sure it works because the package appeared to have been opened at some point. (he’s funny like that when buying things) and the man assured us that it was fine given it had been kept behind the counter. we purchase the sight and get to the car where he opens the box just to find that there’s absolutely no sight in it at all! so he goes in and tells customer service and they accuse him of lying about it!!!! not just one employee, but TWO! THANK GOD after checking the counter for the second time they find a piece of paper that had fallen stating that the sight was kept somewhere else and the box was for show. and nobody even apologized to us for making the accusations!

We never should have went back at all but unfortunately we did yesterday just to have a key copied. the kid doing it seemed rushed and like he just wanted to get out of there. so we get home to find that the key doesn’t even work. we go back today to get another key only to get home and find that one doesn’t work either!!!!! the employees at this store are rude, useless, miserable people who should not work in customer service at all. and i can’t help but think the corruption only goes further and further up the chain. we will NEVVVVVVER step foot in this...
