Bob Evans is fine and the food is good. I've eaten here many times. I'm writing this review to warn others about server Michaela, who is unwell. She yelled lies about me to half the restaurant, saying I was rude to her and how unbelievable I was and she wasn't going to put up with it... when all I said to her was that I didn't like the hashbrowns that came on my meal. I said half a sentence to her before she lost it. No sarcasm, no harsh tone, no demandingness, no judgment of her or her service at all. I didn't have any complaints about or problems with her that would cause me to have an attitude or come at her personally. I didn't even get a chance to request a replacement before she rolled her eyes and stormed off, saying she didn't have time for this and she was getting a manager. Mind you, I had just come from having surgery. I was still wrapped up from surgery. I still had the bracelet on even. I didn't have the energy to be upset about any hashbrowns, let alone get rude with a server for no reason. It just wasn't that serious. I in no way victimized Michaela. I was not rude or cruel, or even slightly unkind to her. I just wanted home fries instead of hashbrowns, but I never even got to say that. Michaela apparently thought my not liking the hashbrowns was very serious and a deeply personal affront to her. Her response was explosive. She perceived something that just wasn't real and didn't happen. Maybe she was having a mental health event, I don't know. Or maybe she likes bullying customers when she thinks they are too vulnerable or tired to fight back. She talked about me behind the counter loud enough so that I and half the restaurant could hear her lying about me. It's not like I insulted her Mama's cooking! The only thing I said back at all and somewhat assertively to Michaela was "I can hear you, you know." but that was the point wasn't it? She sent someone over who apparently was a manager, but when I called the store later, the real manager Kelly had no idea what had happened. The woman who came to my table tried to reel in Michaela's behavior, appearing exasperated by it herself, but alas, Michaela continued to huff and puff, storming around, and slamming things. When I was at the cash register she continued with her passive aggression, never looking at me, but speaking so I could hear her, stating, "I'll pray for you." Maybe she thought she appeared strong and powerful in response to a perceived threat by behaving the way she did. She moreso appeared completely out of control of herself and unable to perceive reality correctly. And then, she wanted to appear righteous and holier than thou by mentioning she'll pray for me, a mere hopeless sinner. Michaela failed to be the innocent victim in this scenario. I am in fact a sinner (still given God's love by His mercy and grace, much to Michaela's chagrin, I'm sure!), but I didn't deserve this, no matter the lies she tells herself or others in an attempt to justify treating someone this way. I hope she heals so she doesn't do this to other people. Protect yourselves and speak...
Read moreAfter sitting listening to our waitress apologize to the people next to us using our wait time as an a reason why their food was taking so long we continued to wait patiently for a total of 32 minutes for our food. We watched other people come in get served and leave before our food came with not even one apology from the waitress or any one else. Then they brought just the meal for the 4 year old toddler which was on such a hot plate that even after 5 mintues it was still too hot for an adult to handle. My eggs were ice cold and hash browns on the same plate were hot like fresh off the grill. The everything breakfast my friend ordered was so much of a misrepresentation from the picture. Yes pics always look better than what you get... But this was a joke. It was seriously loaded scrambled eggs and hashbrowns on the side. Not as was pictured on the menu or in the description that states it is the eggs and extra over and on top of the hashbrowns. And the accompanying griddle biscuit was a freezing cold hockey puck that was totally unedible. While paying the manager was called about our complaint and all she said is here its free and you can go. No apology or asking what was wrong or nothing. How will u correct the problems if you dont even know what it was. Still no apology for any of it. I will never eat there again. Seriously one of the worst dining...
Read moreWent for lunch with my daughter and 4 grandchildren. Was seated at 11:40. At 12:30 mine and my daughter's meal were brought out. At 12:40, 2 of the kids' meals were brought out (we only ordered 5 meals). At 12:50 we are still waiting on the last meal. The waitress checked on the meal 3 times. At 12:50 I asked to speak to the manager. He came back to the table and asked what meals we were missing and he'd find out what was going on. At 1:00 the waitress brought out the last meal-everyone else was done. She stated that the broasted chicken is made to order and that's what took so long. If that's the case, they should state that it takes an hour and 20 minutes to cook so people know that before ordering. Which I've ordered it before and it didn't take over an hour to make. The manager never did come back to talk to us after "finding out what was going on." Then the waitress brings the $50 check back to us. I personally feel there should have been some kind of compensation for our wait. I couldn't find the manager when I left so I told the waitress to let him know I wouldn't be back and he lacks management skills. When I paid the bill, the cashier asked if everything was ok for me today. I replied no it was not. Instead of asking if I wanted to speak to a manager or ever asking what was wrong, she replies, "Oh." Very...
