First off, I'm so glad to have a butcher close to home now. Second, I love the slight smoky smell that greets you when you walk in the door. The gentleman behind the counter (I regretfully didn't catch his name) was knowledgeable and friendly and greeted us right away. The meat looked great, the cowboy ribeyes we bought were thick and well marbled, and the prices were reasonable. We got the steaks, two pounds of Applewood smoked bacon, and brisket bullets and made it out for less than a hundred dollars. I'd also suggest trying the smoked mozzarella (we'll definitely be getting some when we go back!) Read more1836 Butchers truly understands what customer service is all about. From their bundle package sales to the $7 steak sales they go above and beyond to serve their customers. This morning while waiting in line for the $7 steak sale, they kept us informed of when they would starting as the start time for the sale was set to start an hour after they opened. However they were able to start about 40 minutes early and offered free beer, coke and water while waiting.
