Hard to get help at this store. I had to ask five different workers for help before I actually got help. They would just point and say “it’s over there”.
The first person I asked directed to the cashier. The cashier was rude and had a snide attitude with me for no apparent reason. I asked her where I could find a particular item and without even letting me finish my sentence she said nastily “it’s in the bathroom section”. The item wasn’t in the bathroom section, nor anywhere near that section. She also rudely and vaguely told me the section of other items too of which took ages to find. This cashier is the African American sister with short hair.
I was in the store for nearly an hour and ended up leaving with nothing because I couldn’t find anything or get any sufficient help.
One associate was kind enough to walk me to a particular section and help me look for an item. I wish I knew her name so I could shout her out with some positivity, because every other associate was hesitant to help me and would just point to what area of the store I should be looking.
Terrible experience. I just decided to leave...
Read moreI viewed pictures of the Long Beach site to get a sense of the merchandise and store layout before visiting the Pasadena site and am glad I did. It reminds me of a warehouse setting. It appeared well stocked and has very good signage to easily navigate throughout the store. The store has an extensive collection of home goods with some prices higher and seemingly less variety (of brand name or "designer" home products) than competitors (e.g., Home Goods and it's "sister" stores). At Home, however, may have a different retail model of choosing to provide consistency of merchandise over time and thus be more reliable for essential items, contrasting with some competitors that frequently have wide variation and limitations of home items. I plan to visit again (after the winter holidays have passed) to get a more in-depth visit as it is quite an extensive store and I expect it has a lot to offer so I look forward to finding out more and just may become a "regular". Thank you for opening the...
Read moreKari, who calls herself a manager, gave me the worst customer service experience. I’ve spent over $600 in the past two days and probably over $8,000 since January, but this was truly disappointing. I asked an employee if the light fixture I was buying was a plug-in, and they said yes. When I got home, I discovered it was actually hardwired—and since my ceiling is concrete with no electrical outlet, it’s completely useless to me.
I understand the store is closing, but they could have at least allowed me to exchange it for something else. Instead, I was met with disrespect. It’s unfortunate, because I would have continued shopping and supporting the store, even online. After this experience, though, I’ll never shop with you again. I would rate her zero no Customer...
