California Fish Grill — Restaurant in Pasadena

Just another shout out to CA fish grill, hastings ranch and to Karla, one of the friendly and helpful faces behind the counter. I noticed the menu had changed and some of my favorites were removed. How sad, but Karla tried to show me the new stuff I could try and that was very encouraging of her. I had a great meal of the branzino with half garlic butter and Cajun on kaleskaw and cauliflower rice. A treat was the tempura green beans! I saw Karla going up and down the aisle making sure things were clean and tidy and that all the dishes/trays were removed. They take cleanliness very seriously. Karla came by twice to ask me about my meal which was very caring and I appreciated it. I refilled my drink and was ready to leave when I realized I didn't have my keys on me. I kept feelings my pockets but no keys. Slightly panicked, I went up to the counter and Karla had a big smile on her face when she saw me checking my pockets with THAT look on my face. She teased me and said "I know what ur looking for but I couldn't call u cuz I didn't know ur number " and shook my keys in the air, lol. I left my keys where I was refilling my drink. She's so cute, friendly and just so pleasant to deal with. It's like I'm receiving hospitality as if I were in her house. Well, I'm glad I got my keys back and got alittle humor for my forgetfulness. Karla makes my visits there feel GOOD!...

Great seafood at a good price. So glad this pace has opened close to us. In the past, we’d tried their Redondo Beach and San Diego locations and love their seafood.

Got an order of giant Shrimp plate with Cajun sauce and and upgrade of cauliflower rice. Also ordered the Atlantic Salmon with Brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries.

Both dishes were amazing. Very flavorful and cooked right. Fish and shrimps were so fresh and tender. The Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower rice were very tasty yet healthy.

They also have many varieties of seafood choices on the menu including the traditional fish& chips, clam chowder, fried calamari and more.

My 1st time there was back in February. It was a very good experience. The lady who waited on me was very courteous, and nice she was an African American very professional. I went back twice since, and the food was good, however I was waited on by a older man and old Hispanic women, both were not very friendly, and the women charged me for something I didn't order, I didn't discover it until I went home with my two meals. The old man did not include any tartar sauce, slice of lemons or vinegar packets. As I had order the Fish and Chips, I had to asked him if there was any with my food he said, no! I just have to say he's not aware that it should just be included, unless the customer specifically asked not to add any of those items! I recommend the food, the service can be a...
