I don’t know what kind of celestial alignment occurred the day Francisco was hired at Corner Bakery, but the universe clearly decided we all deserved better service.

This man doesn’t just work at Corner Bakery — he elevates it. He doesn’t take your order — he curates an experience. I walked in expecting a simple sandwich. I walked out with a renewed faith in humanity and a perfectly toasted panini.

Francisco’s smile could thaw glaciers. His efficiency? NASA-level. His attention to detail? Michelangelo carving David level. He remembers your name, your order, and probably your childhood dreams. He’s got the charisma of a movie star, the precision of a Swiss watchmaker, and the soul of a poet wrapped in an apron.

At this point, I don’t even come here for the food (though it’s fantastic). I come for the Francisco Factor — that rare combination of warmth, wit, and wizard-like customer service that transforms a simple bakery into a five-star encounter every single time.

Corner Bakery, if you’re listening: give this man a raise, a crown, and possibly his own franchise. No — give him...

Very hit or miss. Service was super slow for a night where there were very few of us at the restaurant. They used to bring the food to the table, now they buzz you to pick it up. Not a big deal, since it is the more efficient way, rather than have a server who is walking around in circles looking for your table. The expectation now also seems to be that you bus your own tables which again is not the worst, but there are no bin's just a flat surface on top of the trash cans that aren't really conducive to stacking without having to touch other people's dirty dishes, which is kind of an inconvenient thing to have to do. I was also given single use disposable utensils even though I was eating in, and this just seems wasteful. They used to have actual utensils. The scampi, was pretty good, but the changes make this more fast food that just takes a lot longer. I guess I was just not very impressed with the changes, as it seemed like quality of service and comfort of the guest were not...

Every time I go into this Corner Bakery, I am greeted in a prompt and friendly manner. A lot of the cashiers posses an uncanny knowledge of the menu, you would swear they read the paoer menu cover to cover every night before they go to bed, which is great for me...I'm the indecisive type and the menu can be overwhelming, so when one of the girls can help me choose something or make a recommendation, it makes my day a lot easier.

The whole staff basan amazing sense of urgency in regards to helping customers. The food usually comes out promptly (always as fast as possible, but something like a lunch rush can be a factor in how fast the food can come out)

Whenever I order to-go, one of the cashiers always goes over my order with me and makes sure my order is correct. I never get home to find missing food or a mistake order.

Overall, I love this Corner Bakery and...

I came for breakfast. My friend says the overnight oats here are the best overnight oats she's ever had. So, I tried it out, & it was good. It was a large portion with fresh fruits, which was nice, but I've had better overnight oats. I actually preferred the single piece of raisin crisp bread it came with over the overnight oats themselves. I bought a pack of that bread because it was so tasty. Ordering was slow because the cashier was new & still being trained. So, that was a bit annoying since I was in a rush & had an appointment to get to. Overall, I'd come back to buy the raisin crisp bread, but would pass on the overnight oats.

Typical dine in cafe experience - order food at counter and later pick up when your buzzer goes off. We had a coupon that the employees easily applied to the order. They have a new Shrimp Scampi Linguine pasta dish, Club Sandwich and Blueberry Hand Pie (pictures below). All food was ok, bread in sandwiches and garlic bread were very good. Shrimp Scampi had about 6 small shrimps, diced tomatoes, parsley - I squeezed a little more lemon juice. Employees are consistently friendly and attentive - I started bussing my table and an employee came and took out dishes for us. Easy parking options in their shared private lot.

The quality of food is really not up to par. It’s one of the absolute worst croissants I have ever had in my life. Presentation of food is zero. The coffee is so so. I would not come back again unless there is some improvement and the quality of food. I do not think the place has been renovated for more than 10 years. The interior looks a bit dark and tired. When I was there at breakfast hour, there were only two other people there. Not a busy place at all. I must add the ladies working there are polite and nice, so this review has got nothing to do with the standard of service.
