Although they made no claims of the authenticity, these items turned out to be outright forgeries produced by a criminal ring in Italy and this was established by experts in the field of antique silver. Additionally, although they did advertise these as sterling silver, they ended up being a low-grade silver. When confronted with the facts, they refused to rectify the situation and then stopped communicating saying only that they had already paid the consignee. As someone who is a very frequent auction buyer, I have never encountered such a low integrity business in my ten years of highly active buying.
