Love the upgrade but they kept blowing the whistle at us literally every 10 feet. We stayed for less than a hour. First they don’t allow outsode food or waters. They dumped out my kids water cups in front of them and my kids started to cry. Then they apparently don’t allow outside floaties. So my kids were super upset because they could not have their special floaties. My kids are 3. They said we have to use their nasty water fountain if we want water or buy the food and drinks they have. Then my kids were not allowed to hold on to the wall while standing on a bench in the water. We went over to the lazy river part and they had a rope crossing to get in and we asked if we can just swim under the rope to get in the lazy river and one life guard said yes and then we all started going over and another life guard was telling us we can’t do that. Then we started floating in the tubes my husband was pushing one tube with one of my kids in it and I was in a tube with the other kid wrapped around me. One life guard started telling us that we need to watch out kid so he doesn’t flip out of the floaty and fall in the water. He said it in such a demeaning way that pissed my husband and I off. We were both right next to my child. My husband was literally the one pushing the floaty while my son was just holding the handles. Lastly we get told that my son can’t be wrapped around me in the floaty. We each had to have our own floaty. I have never been to a place that nit picked at every little thing. It’s not like our kids were running wild and just not following the rules. I felt like we would just breath and a life guard had a comment to make. I did read the rules before entering and I get the food thing even though I don’t like it. But I also saw multiple rules that were very obviously on the list of rules that were not being followed. One being that clothes are not allowed in the water but so many people were wearing shorts and t shirts and not swim suits. We stopped coming to this water park years and and thought we would give it a try since the new updates. I will not be returning here and will forever go to...
Read moreLet’s start with the obvious: this waterpark is way more affordable than most. $8.00 for non-residents? Yes, please! We arrived right at opening (11 AM), and there was a small line stretching from the gate to the parking lot- nothing crazy. Early bird gets the worm, right? LOTS of parking too.
The check-in process was smooth, and the teens working the entrance were fast and polite. We found great seats with plenty of shade, and the crowd didn’t really pick up until around 12:30 PM.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food! I ordered three chicken tender baskets, a patty melt burger, and four drinks - total came out to about $50. Not bad at all. The food took about 15 minutes, but it’s made to order, people! The girls working behind the counter were doing their best, and they were sweet despite dealing with impatient adults complaining about the wait. Have some grace - they’re working hard.
The park itself isn’t huge, but for us moms, that’s a win. I loved being able to give the kids a little freedom while still keeping eyes on them. I wouldn’t recommend this place for adults without kids - it’s definitely geared more toward families than a solo adult getaway.
Now, my one complaint: the restrooms. They were not clean, and that seems to be more about the high traffic and wet floors than staff neglect. People changing in the same stalls right after someone else has… done their business, yikes. I wouldn’t shower here or plan to rely on the restrooms for more than a quick visit.
The rest of the park is clean, and I noticed lifeguards were active and alert (yes, they blow their whistles a lot, but that’s because people don’t always follow the rules).
Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back this summer. Hopefully, more folks with open minds, patience, and good manners follow too. 😊
Family of 4 we spent almost exactly $100. for an afternoon of fun. $ 50 for a 4 hot meal with 4 drinks $15.00 ice cream for kids and 4 drink refills $35.00 for...
Read moreI give this park a solid 4. Great for families with multiple smaller kids and early teens Families are diverse and generally friendly. I say generally because a family attempted to make us move from Cabana 1, they came and informed me park personelle told them to come to #1. I said we'll we've been here since the park opened and we paid for a cabana already (our things were already set up), I looked at the 3 empty cabanas to the side of us and asked why he couldn't settle there. He took his wife and moved on. Later a teen who I assumed was some kind of management came to ask us for our receipt. I told her we had been here since opening, and its wet somewhere but found and gave her the tattered receipt. I asked were Cabanas previously rented, she said no, I asked were the cabanas different prices, she said no...so we basically just stared at each other because at this point being in the park for an hour with my husband, 4 children and a tray of food, it seemed ridiculous to move. She walked off and didnt return, we continued swimming. I think it could have been handled differently and the family should have been informed from jump cabanas are first come first serve and apologize if someone was previously there when they told them #1....Food was good quality and the park wasn't crowded. We had a good time as a family despite the interaction. Other than one teen lifeguard who eats her boogers up and down as she paces and watches, and other teens who were harsh in their corrections to kids in the waters its a great atmosphere for residents and non residents alike to relax and let the kiddos run the park without worries of them being lost. I appreciate the cheap food options too! We fed a family of 4 for about $50 with...
