Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Pasadena

I didn’t care for the food last time I went so I sent my teens without me (being old enough of course)and they got ripped off by the cashier. They were lied to and overcharged, and when asked for water cups, given red soda cups to cover up for his thievery. The coupons online did not expire until November 14, 2023, and was supposed to be 4.99 for an adult buffet for up to four people, but when they walked in and showed the coupon the young man who rung them up said that deal was no longer going on and then pretended to give them a deal, and then gave them the wrong receipt to cover his tracks. When I went up there to talk to the manager about what happened, it got worse as far as customer service goes especially when the head manager flipped his hands at me to leave. The young man who rang them up knew exactly how to get away with stealing, because the customers paid in cash and he gave them the wrong receipt, and guessed right on teens not questioning the deal being still valid. I and my family used to think the head manager was pleasant up until today when because he vouched for the thief and called my kids liars because they got soda which the cashier handed to them when they specifically asked for water cups. This way if questioned, when the register was checked he could just find some other couple who came in and actually ordered sodas. Some may not know their family but with all the heartache we’ve been through especially with the recent passing of their father, I know they were not lying. First off, he lied to them and said there was no deal when there was and the manager did not even care or say sorry! I was in town with my family for a baseball tournament. After today's game, my son who is 17, had a taste for Cici's. I looked to see which location was closest to our hotel. This location was the 3rd closest. But the reviews were the best. So that's where we went. We were NOT disappointed. I've never been to a Cici's like this. It was a tad smaller than most but had everything you'd come to expect from a Cici's, including the game room for the kids. So how did this location differ from EVERY other location I've been to? There were many, many options of FRESH, HOT, PIZZA. I couldn't believe my eyes. Even when a rush of customers hit the buffet, it was NOT picked clean after they left. It was immediately restocked. They were turning fresh product non stop. And not just pizza. The pasta/soup bar, the salad bar and sweets buffet as well. Oh, and ice stocked in the beverage dispenser. And they kept your table clean of dirty plates like clockwork. Giving you more room to enjoy. You know that feeling you get when you wait for a crowd to clear the buffet? That feeling that there will be nothing left and now you gotta wait or just eat what's there. DIDN’T EXIST! Not today. There was a gentleman directing the staff while we were there. Not just that, he taking calls, helping restock items and keeping things neat and clean. I even saw him handling a broom. I'm going to guess that he was the owner. Thank you Sir. WOW! We live by Hobby and usually go to the Pearland one but stopped and decided to come to this location because friends have been telling us this is the best one and they did not lie! This location was amazing. Fresh food and plenty of it. Every pizza choice you can think of they had it out there fresh and ready! 3 deserts too like come on I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The guy who helped us seemed like the manager and he did not disappoint at all and I even complimented him too and he was so nice and thankful. Very welcoming staff and very clean location. The manager greeted everyone who came in and was very vocal with his team and guest. He would say out loud what pizza came out fresh and let team members know what they were short on so they can stay ahead of the game. We came at a perfect time because when we left there was a line of new guests and again he said LUNCH RUSH to let his team know to get ready and prepare. Honestly if he’s the manager he deserves a raise and many other locations to be in charge of. He made me appreciate his dedication and hard work. Definitely recommend coming here if y’all are hungry. This is indeed the best Cici’s I’ve been to in my 28 years of life existence! You won’t be disappointed.
