Went with husband for a Tuesday dinner date. We were the only people inside although it was around 6pm. No one came in to eat the entire time we were there. A couple of guys were on the back patio with drinks, but that's it. TVs were showing a basketball game, soccer game, and pictures of food from the menu. Music wasn't overly loud, and we didn't have to yell to be heard.
Husband ordered an appetizer of a half dozen raw oysters, and said they were good. Thought we were getting happy hour margaritas, but they were full price at $10.99 each. They were so, so good, but wouldn't have ordered a second had we known they were not part of happy hour prices. I ordered the fish tacos, and would gladly order them time and time again. Husband tried to be adventurous and ordered the big ceviche goulash meal (can't remember the name). It was interesting to look at, and he ate what he could. If you are into your food looking raw, it's the dish for you. Citrus and spice was too much for me, and I stuck to not sharing my tacos. They do not serve chips & salsa, but, rather a warm broth dish. It was good, just too spicy for me
After all the indulgence, our bill was $118 without tip. Next time, we'll pay better attention to what drinks are included in happy hour. The server was attentive, although there was a language barrier.
Being the only people in a big restaurant felt a little weird, and that's why the atmosphere was...
Read moreThey gave us free mini margaritas to write this 5 star review. Janeth gave us great service and the food was good. We ordered the fresh oysters, they were bomb, and the parrilla plate came on a boat with red fish, octopus, and shrimp. It was really good but it was for two and it only comes with one rice and one beans...they were okay, but I feel like since it was for two, there should have been two rices and beans, because if I wasnt sharing with my husband it would havs been kinda weird. Oh they also gave us this seafood consume for appetizer, it was really really good. If i go back ill probably try the shrimp caldo instead. The micheladas were alright, but I had better. They automatically charged gratuity on our check even though it was just me and my husband which I thought was kind of weird and I had gave extra for the tip so make sure you check the ticket before paying. There was a little patio area in the front and bar in the back which was kinda cool. The draft beer was $7, idk if that was a good deal or not, I don't really drink beer. The sample sized free frozen margaritas were really good. The price was kinda crazy and they charge for chips and salsa with out telling you...so just be aware when you go and check your ticket. Idk try it out, you might like it. Ask for Janeth, she's...
Read moreOk, so a friend recommended this place, but first i went to read the reviews n was abit disappointed cuz most mention waitstaff but not dining-atmosphere-experience etc....but after coming here, it's clear, the staff seem to have some kinda special training to be so polite n polished with the treatment of the patrons, tho we, my husband and I, seemed to be the only ones there, I overheard the waitstaff with the other guests, with whom they also treated with much class.... now with that said, moving on to the food. My husband and I after ordering our drinks (michiladas that had ice kinda like sonic ice) we were greeted with a small portion of consome but was it was really a delight, we ordered appetizers aguachile,n those were very fresh n yummy, we had the caldo and molcajete n left STUFFED! The prices were a lil bit high but very fair for the serving size...We will definitely...
